Mike takin the piss now, pretending to be bored asleep will Knowles talks about the pillow.
Outrageous. Takes me back to my days as a red-faced 19 year-old in the police force back in the early 80s when I used to get bullied in a similar style. Destroyed my confidence for years and still lives with me today. Interesting to see that Mason’s skin is so thin, though.

My first boss was vile and totally knocked my confidence. It was all don't use this word say this instead. I certainly wasn't using slang or anything, it was things like say lavatory instead of toilet. She was very overweight, clearly hated herself so took it out on me, the only person she supervised. All in front of colleagues who were nice but didn't challenge it.

She claimed to be very religious and told me she would go to Heaven because she went to church and I would go to Hell because I didn't. Nowadays I would laugh and say if Heaven was full of people like you I don't want to go. But I was 17 and terrified to answer back.

In my career I have come into contact with many interns and other young people and I have gone out of my way to make them feel welcome and supported them.

I only stayed in that job 2 years and left for another reason, not connected with her. I've never worked since with anybody as nasty as her, but there were a couple of bullies in The Met, both Detective Inspectors, when I was a civvy. Both of them suffered because of it however it took a long time. One had complaints everywhere he went but they just kept transferring him.

I reckon he was bullied as a child. Just my personal view.

I remember during my time in-house as a young police officer being insulted and then almost immediately afterwards “We love you really.” Or “What a toss…” And straight after..”We are only doing it for your own benefit, mate…Yer cu…..” The behaviour tonight resonated strongly with me…Nice, than nasty almost in the same sentence. You clutched at the ‘nice’ moments, and used it almost as an excuse to accept the negative and cruel verbal abuse..

Bullying is a complicated issue in general. Often the person doing it has historical low self-worth issues themselves. Not always, but often. Or it can take the form of the pack going for the prey. What it sees as the weak, the undesirable, or both.

Nice then nasty is typical of the trait. I was bullied three or four times on separate occasions at school. One particular bully (a fat boy) would apply a particularly menacing form of bullying: how he was going to kill me, strangle me first, wait for me, if I said anything there would be serious trouble… That sort of thing. Then he would tell me he was only doing it for my own good to make me more confident. On each occasion I was bullied, the eventual outcome was me punching the person who did the bullying. And funnily enough, on each occasion, the bullying then stopped.

You often think that bullying in public is something that only happens to children and is something that stays essentially in the playground or in the classroom environment of school. In my experience, sadly no. It goes on in adult life, too, where it often takes more subtle, psychological forms; but bullying is there in adult life – very much so.

As said, whether Knowles was actually being picked on by Mason last night - who knows. But he was certainly put in a position of being ridiculed and in-turn undermined on-air by him. But with the added in ‘We love yer really Knowlesy’ to somehow cancel out the previous. Very odd and uncomfortable to watch for me.

I feel for Alex - he looks uncomfortable at times with moronic’s so called banter. Typical bullies defence - “I was only joking” etc. I would rather listen to Alex than that scruffy, bearded tw*t, who always looks like he is taking the piss out of potential customers then laughing up his sleeve when he shifts a load of tat that wouldn’t grace his bin, let alone his home 😡

Spot on. Whatever was going on or not going on, it was completely unprofessional and embarrassing to watch. If anything at all, it undermined the actual products that they were trying to sell. If I had paid for selling space on the channel and saw the host ‘asleep’ in a chair for a joke, then regularly winding-up the demonstrator- pillow or no pillow I would have felt that reflected negatively on my product. I have seen no other expert come onto the station and have the presenter feign going to sleep in the chair to create an impression that they are boring them to such a level, they need to close their eyes and snooze. Play the feed back to hear his other comments; but he was also frequently uncomplementary to Alex. Fair play to him for not biting back and just taking it all in good spirit. There are plenty of things about Mason that you could come back and bully him over, but Knowles chose dignity over retaliation.

Feel a little sorry for Alex.He is surrounded by people with big egos and everyone singing from the same hymn book to get the sales, however disingenuous their sales tactics may be.
It is difficult to fight your corner being only one person who believes there is a correct and moral way to conduct business. He tries his best and has my full support. Not as entertaining as the others who make total fools of themselves and give us many laughs with the issue being that even though they ‘entertain’ us it does nothing al all for their sales figures(not from us lot anyway).

Surely the Masons and Simon’s of this world are intelligent enough to know that in the main most viewers are not stupid enough to believe a lot of the rubbish they spout and the unbelievable price comparisons, however much they try to entertain.

I only dip in and out and the only reason is to see if there is a new product which takes my fancy. I then research and find a better one at a better price (hopefully).

I am interested in that Morphie car battery charger thing and in fact saw a very similar one in Lidl last week and you get a good guarantee with Lidl without any hassle and no p&p! That’s the only thing Mason demonstrated that I have considered.

The bits of home life he shares, banter with The Goddess, his kid(s),the cats blah blah…🤮…I don’t believe a word of it! He sounds too good to be true. Probably as quiet as a mouse and does what he’s told!

What are you talking about? Mike is a very professional presenter who only gives accurate honest information regarding the products he's flogging.

How many left Amy? (doesn't tell viewers the quantity but looks shocked) Guys you gotta get a wriggle on, I'm tellin' ya!
These are flyin' out!
Internet in meltdan!
Call centre gone craaaaaaazy!
I say this not to rush you but simply to inform you ...
I'd love to buy one of these but they're always sold out by the time my shift finishes!

Yes, he's the consummate professional ;)

That’s my parents off to France, I know I said I was going, but that was only If I could find some support at home, and there 50th Anniversary should be just them, plus I was hesitant about flying if honest.

So I’m here, With a cousin, and another cousins, 18 year old Daughter who Is coming back from uni of Surrey for the weekend. She is studying performing arts and Drama, but I’ve told her over the weekend she can view some IW, and she will learn quick, that If her future ever gets stuck, there are 2 guys she can watch at the weekend and see your career won’t be over, as in Peter V and Peter S.

Mum and Dad are taking me to a hotel next weekend, and Weymouth for 3 weeks in a Caravan in April, which is more me than abroad if honest.

Undoubtedly the issue always lies with the bullies. I detest anyone who bullies, always have. Fortunately, I've gone through my life not experiencing it to any great extent. As you've quite rightly said it can take many forms.

Costs more but I can thoroughly recommend the Noco Boost. Got an 'R' reg car with a well flat battery started with it this morning. Fantastic piece of kit. Best £100 or so I have ever spent on that kind of item.
