He is incapable of demonstrating this product. Even Mason at least tries to. He can’t just be arsed, can he? Too much work beforehand. He is actually imitating the functions because he hasn’t bothered to learn how the machine works, and clearly nobody in Pimpleville has the confidence to tell him otherwise.

They are also now manipulating lyrics from songs of years gone by. This absolutely drives me mad. A case in point because of the time of the year is Fairy Tale of New York with the ****... reference changed to 'Cheap and Haggard'. They lifted the switch via a Kirsty MacColl TOTP appearance where the offending lyric was required to be changed for early evening television. It's one of the great Christmas songs of modern times. But because of that change, I won't listen to it anymore. Nor will I listen to Oliver's Army for the same reason. Don't mess with history. Either play these records as they were or don't play them at all. The same goes with television. Don't butcher shows by removing parts of them. Just show a disclaimer and let people decide for themselves. These were different times and that is the key point.

Continuing the theme of records that have had their lyrics changed for radio broadcast purposes.. They also used to have a radio version of Peaches by The Stranglers. It was hilarious when in the early days of Smooth Radio (when they played more than the same 20 songs) they played the 'c litoris) version instead.
Classics like the dam busters have been messed with too, the Labrador has had numerous names in the last few years.

My dad liked Olivers Army and had the single on vinyl, think its in our attic might go dig it out for a bit of nostalgia, my sister suggested for his funeral music, I said probably best not!:)

The dog is called Digger in the film now. They even changed the gravestone at RAF Scampton, taking the name away. Rewriting history yet again. 😡
