That Royal Variety Show last night was typical of the above. Two hours or so of the right-on audience pretending to laugh…
We happened to turn over to the RVS at some point last night.
Some guy I didn't recognise was doing some sort of stand up about local and regional accents.
We watched for about a minute or so, looked at the other, I said 'wow that was funny!' and turned back over.

Yep. Tissot would be a great option. Have a little look at Hamilton as well - around now if you search TKMaxx for watches, you’ll find some great deals on Hamilton, and sometimes Tissot and Certina.
Longines are a little pricier, but TKMaxx have some at very reasonable prices.
You can get a good mechanical watch from any of those brands within your budget, and so long long at its serviced every 5-10 years, it’ll last forever. Servicing will cost around £200, though.
Happy hunting!
Thanks for the advice Prof. Will have a look at what TKMaxx have to offer

Simon never mentioned the above last night, did he?

He doesn’t seem to understand that when he says he never lies to you, he’s telling lies. Of course, in his own defence, he would say that he is only telling you what he is being told to tell you. But if he is being told to tell people untruths, it doesn’t really matter whether he knows he is telling them or not. He is lying to you - either by accident or design. For example: if he gives you wrong information about a watch movement, or about the heritage of a particular one, - is he simply clueless, misinforming you via his earpiece, or is he just plain lying to you? And when he contradicts himself by saying that he has an expensive gym memberships when trying to illustrate the benefits of cheap exercise at home equipment, and then on another appearance says he has never been to a gym in his life – is he simply confused, misinforming you, suffering from amnesia, or is he lying to you? You decide. Is misinforming the same as lying? In my book it is…and I never lie to you.
