His GYM CARD??? Last time he was on with Becque he said he’d never used a gym. I NEVER LIE TO YOU…
I heard Yiannis say one day that he had a £170 per month gym membership. He was flogging a flimsy 10 quid piece of exercise equipment and unbelievably claimed that it would do the same job as all the equipment and facilities in his gym. 😄😄😀

What used to make it special was the relative briefness of it, with at least some elements of a Christian feel to a Pagan festival. I remember bugging my mum to get the Christmas TV Times and Radio Times when it used to come out around about the second week of December. There was a genuine sense of excitement to look what programmes were on, and particularly the big films. I think from memory you had to wait at least a couple of years from cinema release before a top film would appear on television, and that’s what used to happen at Christmas. Nowadays everything can be accessed virtually immediately – films, music etc. Plus, as I have said previously, it is the length of time devoted now to Christmas, with people putting their decorations up a month or two even before the big day. But in general, not making the effort to keep them up until 12th Night, which is what many of us used to do. Obviously, like most human beings, you want to stay alive, and there are still enough beautiful things in the world to make that worthwhile. But there are many changes to society that at 62, I have seen and wish I hadn’t.
Always used to look forward to watching excerpts from Disney Films. Nearly every year The African Queen with Humphrey Bogart was on. Dad always said we’ve seen this before and changed the station (well me or my sister did as no remote controls in those day). To this day I’ve not watched it as I think Dad must have seen it in the pictures when it was first released.

The Opatra Rep Marianne (not Natalia Lip Pout) wasn’t having any of his nonsense - it was comedy gold - told him he was wrinkly and old lol.

He just came across as a bumbling old codger (which we know he is).

Best laugh on IW for a long time…
Genuinely sorry I missed that.

And that was when you had to buy both the Radio Times and TV Times because BBC and ITV were listed separately, I can remember the excitement. And later on when there were more channels and we had a video I would go through it with a highlighter pen. Always bought blank video tapes before Christmas.

For me it's not been the same since my mum passed away in 2017 (she loved this forum by the way). Mum and I went to Christmas concerts and saw all the lights in the West End and the tree in Trafalgar Square. I still do suff but it not the same. We always watched an old film on Christmas Day in the afternoon like White Christmas or Holiday Inn. Always saw a concert at the Royal Albert Hall on Christmas Eve and after walked to Kensington High Street station and the area was packed with stressed shoppers and we were totally chilled out. Happy memories.

One thing I like to do now on Christmas Day is watch a couple of Morecambe and Wise Christmas shows, I've got them on DVD. Proper Christmas entertainment for me😊

Wonderful retro technology hour. Please!!! More shows like this…

This chocolate ceramic heater is the best lumpy bumpy warming product since the Shih Tzu Farting MashAGA. The best product I have brought you since The Battle of Marston Moor in 1644. This trumping rampant massager helps me greatly with a recent extremely serious proseedure I had with Dr. Backaee-Phassage in Cockermouth. In fact, when he’d sewn me up…my cock was in my mouth. I wouldn’t mind, but I only went in for some hay fever tablets, OKAY???

You surely wouldn’t go near this crowd of comedians if you respected your brand directly. Presume they get the rare decent name from the Grey Market?

Given it’s sold in John Lewis (among other places) I imagine they got it the same way they get most of their brand stock: clearance sell off.

Hopped on IW live YT feed, scrolled back to random point. Flogging bags. Presenter (Yiannis) standing there with one of the crew. The following was a dialogue between them.

Presenter: If you saw me walking into a hotel lobby carrying this bag, how much would you think it cost me?
Crew: (you could tell he was thinking 'what should I say here') Emmm, at least £60?
Presenter: (evidently thinking 'you didn't go high enough') Dude, come on, you know how I roll ...
Crew: Oh yeah, right, emmm at least £200.
Presenter: That's more like it!

For info the bag was £8.99 and looked worth every penny ... and not a penny more!

Why are they obsessed with trying to equate their (often very) cheap products with much higher price points? Of course we know why ;)

It's all so vacuous and shallow. I for one couldn't care less if I saw someone carrying a bag that cost a billion pounds. I literally could not care. I'll tell you one thing though, if you did walk into a place with more than a few rich, shallow, materialistic people milling around, I'm confident they would know the true value of your £8.99 bag .

Peter has been on for 4 mins...........yes 4 mins and he has already said "Rigid strong" "I like a sticky bum" "Eurovision" "like our house full of strangers and dirty" "I have arthritis in the left hand but that hasn't stopped me" "Boys!!!!!!!!!! Pauls in the house!!!!!!!".......................Guess what he is (supposed to be) selling?......... Tower cooking Pans
Typical Peter. It’s never long before he’s on about banging his back door.

He walked on the other day with a unicorn bag and started singing to it and calling it his friend, then said “you won’t believe this but I’ve won a BAFTA”. I would believe it Peter because you told us when you introduced yourself at the start of the show! Wonder if they’ll flog the one that was glued to his back for half the segment?
