Load of old bollocks. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Mike said yesterday that it would be the last time you would see these watches, yet here they are again.

He must’ve meant the literal watches he had on that literal show yesterday. Those went back in the box at the end and they opened some new ones for today. This will be the last time we see them…

…cos they’ll open some more new boxes for when they're on tomorrow.

(Is how they must justify the claims to themselves)

Is that like the MGs that are British designed but built in China?
A bit less even than that, I believe.
The design work is already done.
All these brands do, in the main, is to order a pre-existing design from China and have their brand name printed on the dial (and I’ve seen even that done so badly that the name would come off as soon as it was touched - it seems like letraset transfer if you’ve ever seen that!).
The watches themselves are usually filthy. If I dismantle any Swiss or German watch, it is vanishingly rare that I’ll see tooling marks. On Chinese watches, even on Sea Gulls, widely thought as a ‘decent’ Chinese manufacturer, I can guarantee tool marks, hairs, and strangely random oiling. It’s the quality control and the care- there just isn’t any. But, the price reflects that - until selly telly triples it - or more.

Three presenters on the early morning show this morning; Natalia, Joanne and then some expert.

Joanne did the 22:00-02:00 show last night,so not sure why they needed her on again at 06:00 this morning, especially as Natalia must be able to do these beauty shows in her sleep. Poor Joanne looked very tired and must've been knackered.

Oh how strange, Peter V with a Roof Guard product. Strange how for years he's been saying that there wasn't anything like Roofix, and if you went to your DIY suplier they'd sell you bitumen paint, yet low and behold he's magically showing a similar product.

And again, just like Roofix M, we're getting it's Exclusive to IW and not available anywhere else, again another misleading statement.

Just like Roofix M, it's only the name that is exclusive not the contents.

Roofix M in the real world is Roofix 20/10 sold everywhere, they just had a different special labelled tin for IW to claim exclusivity.

Roof Guard is supplied by Assured Products, who also supply JCB, Spear & Jackson etc with the same product in their own specially labelled tins, but it's all the exact same stuff from the same manufacturer.

Ok this would be a waste of money, I do admit that, however it would also be a laugh.

If I had the money to burn, I would do exactly what you've outlined.

I'd get a web designer to set up a great looking website for my watch brand, lots of heritage-esque references based on feck all.

I'd buy a batch of cheap watches via Alibaba or equivalent.

I'd get them to slap my brand name on them.

On my website, they would have RRPs in the thousands.

I'd get in touch with IW and offer them a deal heavily slanted in their favour to entice them to offer me shows.

The watches would be retailed on IW for a couple of hundred tops.

And then you'd see it. Peter S selling my brand with his faux sincere voice.

The brand name?

Bullshaté

I'd love to think I'd get away with it, with them not completely getting the irony ...

;)
