Neither Mike Mason, nor his wife are remotely popular in Cowlinge, the village in west Suffolk where their house (essentially) is, and where they act like Lord and Lady of the Manor. I have family who live in a neighbouring village. The words most commonly used to describe them is 'arrogant', and 'self-important'.The language used was very similar to Mason’s, or a pastiche of it. It was also a clearly well put together collection of responses. Did somebody say his wife posted here before at one point? Could it be her, therefore? The posts from Paz were clearly defensive of the genre, while trying to be presented as not to be. There was/is some direct link to shopping television clearly for me with that poster.
Lowly? Me? How rude!Paz.....for me is maybe a lowly interested party since IW mk3 came to our screens and had no attachment to the previous IW's.

Nice to see you, to see you ...Paz, I notice you have only ever posted on this thread, and ones about Peter Simon.
Peter? Are you there?
I've heard he eats children and kicks kittens.Neither Mike Mason, nor his wife are remotely popular in Cowlinge, the village in west Suffolk where their house (essentially) is, and where they act like Lord and Lady of the Manor. Bit of a stupid thing to say - why wouldn't I believe the things that friends of mine tell me, particularly when they have first-hand knowledge of it?Even more so when it's a well-known pattern of behaviour.... and naturally you'll believe such negativity.
You accuse me of being stupid, which is a bit 'high-handed and unfriendly'. Don't you think? If these gossips you mention are similarly unpleasant, then I'm not sure their opinions are particularly valid.Bit of a stupid thing to say - why wouldn't I believe the things that friends of mine tell me, particularly when they have first-hand knowledge of it?Even more so when it's a well-known pattern of behaviour.
People in villages talk, and people can quickly get a reputation - particularly if they act in a high-handed, unfriendly manner. Surely you know that, Mike?
