I've just looked it up, the hotel is in a fabulous location. The square itself just outside the station always looks fantastic in winter, Christmas lights, pop up bars. They have similar events in summer.

I go to Sloane Square a lot for jazz shows at Cadogan Hall, they're very reasonably priced, sometimes as low as £20. And if you're going for your Royal Albert Hall Christmas show its not far away.

And you're on top of the King's Road too which is well posh😊
We are going to Cadogan Hall this year, that's why we chose that hotel. I know in previous years the Christmas lights there have been lovely.

My life Seems so naff up to everybody on here
Please don't be too hard on yourself as you can't help your circumstances, all you can do is try to get enjoyment out of small things, maybe music or things on TV that you like. I get joy when I put on clean bedsheets and change the duvet cover!

My life isn't perfect. I've got a chronic health condition that will deteriorate over time so I try to do as much as I can in case I get less mobile. I have a few memberships that give me free access to places like Hampton Court, this means I go a lot to get my monies worth. I'm also in a club that gets cheap, last minute theatre offers and I take advantage. Sometimes I don't feel like going out but I try to force myself and I really enjoy it. If the sun is shining I like to have a nice walk.

It's all about trying to find joy in something, even something small, or an activity that you are able to do. I have days when I'm totally fed up. I wallow for a bit in misery but get my computer out and research holidays (that I'll probably never have!). It cheers me up because it's something I might do in the future. And if I go on this forum I'm never fed up for long!

And you clearly enjoy the silliness of this forum🙂

Fabulous!! I was there on Thursday for a jazz singer Clare Teal.

You won't have a long walk to get back to your hotel😁
Great. Hoping to be mobile enough to get the tube from Kings Cross. I'm tired of sitting in taxis in London, watching the meter going up and up. I'll have to rev up my Orbitrek stepper. I've got no excuse, all I do is sit for most of the day. Pity I can't wear the Sankom socks, they would be ideal for me! 🤣🤣🤣

I'm not surprised that Emu was angry all the time as he had Rod Hull's hand up his a***🤣
Never will forget the Big Yin saying, after Rod had made emu go for his privates (and why was it always the privates?) ‘if he does that again, I’ll break his neck. And your arm.’
Always loved Billy after that.
🤣🤣
