My life Seems so naff up to everybody on here
I spend most of my time at home, Emma. I go out to lunch once every three weeks with friends, the rest of the time is hospital appointments. We like to visit London every December to go to a concert, but apart from that, I'm at home. I've got to a stage in my life where I can't be bothered getting ready to go out now. I can drive, but I haven't been out in the car for a couple of months, I just don't like driving anymore. My life Seems so naff up to everybody on here
I used to treat my mum to a bottle of Floris’ Lily of the Valley perfume occasionally back n the 70s. I loved it too but sadly it’s been discontinued. We both liked Bronnley Rose Geranium too again long gone.Yes, Penhaligon's is very expensive. Their perfumes can be £150, I had a small bottle years go and I think it cost around £60 but it was beautiful.
I had afternoon tea at The Ritz years ago and they had Floris, there's a shop in Jermyn Street very close to it. Floris is a very old brand and a beautiful shop. Ots cheaper than Penhaligon's.
And if I need to spend a penny around Piccadilly I go to Fortnum and Mason, very posh loos, the soap and hand creams are their own brand so very nice![]()
I rarely go out apart to dentist, doctor, opticians plus hairdressers once every 6 weeks. Don’t drive and public transport is dire so go everywhere by taxi which is expensive. I’m quite fortunate that I have lots of hobbies. Thank goodness for the internet for keeping n touch with friends and family and for home shopping. My life Seems so naff up to everybody on here

These are used in like hotels you spend thousands a night to stay in mindBoring Emma on now with the Dubai air fresheners.
They've got the same stuff in my local corner shop for same price and you can choose which ones you want and how many.
Lets be honest, you wouldn’t find them in the homes of IW PresentersBoring Emma on now with the Dubai air fresheners.

I'm sure Peter Simon uses them to make his stinky hovel more habitable.Lets be honest, you wouldn’t find them in the homes of IW Presenters
If I was staying in such a hotel, I wouldn't expect them to need air fresheners. These are used in like hotels you spend thousands a night to stay in mind
If I’m in the company of Pehaligon’s ‘Terrible Teddy’ fragrance, I can’t be held responsible for my actions. It’s addictive to me!Yes, Penhaligon's is very expensive. Their perfumes can be £150, I had a small bottle years go and I think it cost around £60 but it was beautiful.

That’s very true, Wanderer. Don’t be too hard on yourself, @EmmaP xAs the saying goes the grass is always greener.
Sometimes other peoples lives may look nice from the outside, but reality can be way different.
Edit - A lot of people will never discuss or mention the bad things in their life, just the nice things like trips away or nice meals out, so its skews things.
I'll have to try it!If I’m in the company of Pehaligon’s ‘Terrible Teddy’ fragrance, I can’t be held responsible for my actions. It’s addictive to me!![]()
I've just seen how much it costs!! Never mind, I'm sure IW will come up with a knock off fragrance in due course.I'll have to try it!
I've just looked it up, the hotel is in a fabulous location. The square itself just outside the station always looks fantastic in winter, Christmas lights, pop up bars. They have similar events in summer. We're staying at the Sloane Square Hotel in December, maybe they will have Baylis and Harding.![]()
