I believe she threatened this site with legal action because forumites didn't like Mike and said so! I think people were asked not to comment on him for a while. Was before my time but I read about it. I can understand if people libelled him but I think it was just using colourful adjectives.

I was half listening to be fair – taking in the wonderful Crystal Palace result today. Beating Vest Sham 2-0.

I think the reaction was from Mark that he had indeed previously burnt his kitchen down. I do actually feel very sorry for him, because you can see the stress that is boiling in him under the surface - unlike his potatoes.
