Remember when Rover rebadged the Metro to be called the Rover 100? They tarted it up a bit but fooled no-one. And when the Chinese SAIC car makers bought the company there's all kinds of Rover style Chinese cars out there in the Chinese market. They also own MG and brought the brand and Morris brand back, trying to cash in on the heritage

I just want to say, as I have scrolled through the comments. I get why politics sometimes rears it's ugly head on here. I don't come on for that. However, the presenters were trying to persuade people to spend their fuel allowance on tat. And that is how the fuel allowance discussion began. I don't agree with certain people in my life that I consider friends, we take a completely different stance on most things. I have had plenty of heated arguments about state of the world and how it should be sorted. Having a moan is good, to vent is helpful. I prefer to agree to disagree in many cases. It's difficult on a forum with various viewpoints, things can get emotional as life affects us all differently. I actually appreciate people sharing what they do about their lives and circumstances on here. I avoid trying to get too heavy with things on an IW thread. But sometimes it happens. I agree that a specific thread for that discussion was the right move. Personality clashes are a whole other subject. I even hope that one day saintslad can have a discussion that doesn't involve you know who ;) I can't speak on who said what about who and people are entitled to block whoever they want. Coming from an opinionated git, I try to have fun and take the piss and have a bit of banter about selly telly
 
I don’t like this you Can’t open a product, if you want to send it back.

What if you open a beauty product, and it damages your skin possibly, they make you keep it.

Surely if you are bought something for Christmas. You should be able to open it up try it out. But no, they want to be able to sell people seconds, as new items

A lot of that returns or items used on shows usually end up on their ebay sites, the old IW used to have loads of watches on ebay that were described as returns or ex display watches and usually priced a bit cheaper.
 
Going completely off topic, my ship has docked in Corsica today and its torrential rain😳. There's more water gushing down the street than in the harbour where the ship is docked🤣. But I've found a pavement cafe with a big awning and reading everything that's been going on in the crazy world of selly telly. And there have been no more sightings of any IW lookalikes!

As long as the captain and first mate aren't dead ringers for Mason and Simon you'll be OK!

Yiannis would make a typical head waiter creepily eliciting tips. I can picture Natalia as chief stoker with her greasy face. And Sally could do a turn as a cabaret singer doubling as a foghorn in bad weather.

Yes, can totally picture Yiannis as the creepy waiter🤣. I've not come into contact with the chief stoker yet so can't confirm if Natalia is moonlighting. Haven't met the captain yet but you often see the crew in their white uniforms walking round the ship. They are so polite and always greet you.

As for the entertainers, they are very, very young! Although we have been promised us a 'guest comedian' one night. Doubt it will be anybody famous but I'm slightly concerned it will be Pedro😵‍💫. If it is I'll be taking refuge in the nearest bar (plenty of them on board...)

I found the old IW eBay 'returns' store really good value.
Bought a few tech items, a phone, a laptop, described as ex-display, ex-studio from there, at a fraction of the on-screen price. They were new, still in protective wrapping, probably had just been in reserve as demonstrator models. Shame it's not still around.
