"A very good morning to you. Welcome to an extraordinary new home of Ideal World. This is a quite remarkable feat in television terms […] to create a brand new home of the award winning Ideal World. On the opening day of Wimbledon we're going to open a shop in a brand new house. Collectively, this is a quite remarkable achievement. And I am proud and privileged to launch, at 10 o'clock this morning, this brand new home. To each and every individual that has put brick, and mortar, and set together, over 24 hours of labor intensive, erm, over the past few months, sit back and enjoy the brand new home of Ideal World..."

…and then proceeds to walk out of shot, and the camera doesn't follow, so we're left looking at the empty, off-centre shot while he starts gabbling away about being asked what product to 'launch the new studio' with (Gammon, ofc).

Technically Natalia was the first to use it

"There's one perfume that you and I have come to know and love. It is a world famous perfume. It's from New York, originally, with the essence of perfurmerance [his word, not a typo] from Germany. At £60 a bottle, it's worth every penny. This may be your only ever chance to get the original Black Suit of Gammon. The atomiser alone is worth £70. Have your phone in your hand. It is a giveaway. An absolute price to clear… an out-and-out clearance buy... These are premium, luxury, design fragrances…"

…at £9.99 a bottle, with everyone involved still making enough profit to keep bringing them back to air.

Now, £9.99 for a packet of crisps would be premium, but given that the well-known, big brand perfumes which sell at £40-£60 aren't considered premium merely "affordable", he's over-egging the Gammon there.

It's a sliding scale of course, but I have a friend pays £150 for his fragrance (he's a moron, but his family is ridiculously wealthy. That fragrance sells at that price all the time, it is never on "clearance", and it doesn't require buyers to be told it is a "premium, luxury, design fragrance" or assured that it is "world famous" since it just is...

Gammon is a cheap, no-frills perfume. Maybe it smells OK. Just sell it as such. Rob did! A perfume you can squirt on yourself without stressing about the cost. An everyday fragrance. Throw it in the gym bag, keep it in the car, or use it as a pepper spray alternative for blokes with sh*t watches who think you're chatting them up…

But nooooooo, Pedro has to oversell and overpromise, bigging it up as an award-winning, highly-sought after, much-in-demand, constantly sold-out fragrance, "you'll be part of an elite club of people who can afford to wear this", etc.

Is it me or does the picture look a bit better on Freeview 51? Looks like it's been upscaled slightly. It certainly doesn't look as bad as it did.

I'm on a sky box so can't see freeview picture, but from looking at the figures, there doesn't seem to have been any improvement. Still broadcasting 544X576 res, and during Peter Simon's show this morning and Sally's this afternoon were averaging about 1.1 Mb/s bitrate, just a few days ago the average bitrate was higher.

That picture looks bloody awful. Are they using those £20 dashcams to broadcast from? Or maybe an RDM drone?
