He’s doing a new paper launch, Crackle Paint and a Colour wheel thing, which helps you make sure the colours you use in your crafting match

Yeah I saw he's got 3 hours today.

Not into crafting, but did once buy some crafts for my two neices when they were teenagers, both 40ish now so was ages ago, bought some Gallery Glass sets as part of their Xmas from QVC, but as i say looooong ago.

Create and Craft your letting in all the wrong people, you reap what you sow with shop extra.
People will not believe a word coming out of the gruesome four’s mouths.
Would you buy anything from them now?
Many former customers are still trying to get their money back from the last shenanigans 🧻

I wouldn't buy anything from them anyway, purely for their (as well as the other presenters and guests) shyster behaviour, which they were displaying long, long before IW were in trouble.

Nothing against the products (whatever they may be) but if they are associating themselves with the former IW shysters then they won't be on my shopping list, no matter what channel they're on.

Hochanda/ Create & Craft old customers paying for this ‘new’ channel as email from C&C tells me my old Hochanda Freedom p&p of £5.97 per month will go up to £10 in August and I won’t be buying enough to justify that every month. I’ve bought some craft stuff from HobbyMaker which was delivered more quickly than C&C so if some of the really bottom of the slime pool presenters land on the Crafting part of C&C I’ll be waving good bye.

if you don’t buy more than three times a month, you sticking to freedom doesnt make sense

Well, what does a humble crafter wear? And how does a crafter friendly presenter best present themselves to the Club members? Ryan was probably asking himself those types of questions in preparation for his crafting gigs.

It’s interesting to actually give this channel and format more than the five minutes I ever gave it in the past. I can’t think of anything more tediously boring than watching in people in cheesecloth making cards and folding paper. As a result, I always stayed well clear of any of the crafting output on Ideal World. But for me it was intriguing to see how Ryan, if at all, would alter his persona to fit in.

He is certainly dressed differently. A check leisure shirt, unbuttoned with a black tee-shirt underneath. He looks like the well-meaning wierdy beardy science teacher doing the school disco music in about 1981. No aggressive body posture. No sharp suits. No CHECK OUT YOUR BASKETS NAHHHH…You suspect this type of audience doesn’t want that sort of meaningless, pressure BS. Half an hour or so of watching now, and not a mention of stock levels, the aforementioned checkout or anything other than him saying ‘there’s a lot of interest in this clockwork basket weaving e-cigarette machine’…It’s very much like watching the old Ideal World 2000s output. You realise just how toxic the selling approach had become in the latter years of the channel. People saying at times the most outrageous things trying to get a sale.. Another world completely, here on this channel.

When's the next watch show on TJC?

Wonder if the new Shop Extra will sell watches, or just kitchen gadgets?!

Like Duke, I have no interest in crafting in terms of card-making, stamping, embossing, crocheting, needlework or knitting. Or printing (isn't the Brother specialised kit pricey?!). Or artificial flower-making. Can't think of any others?!

But *art* does interest me and after buying the TJC, not IW (see what I did there?!) acrylic painters bundle a while ago, I did see C&C had a *watercolours* craft slot that piqued my interest! No purchase yet though.

P.S. has any channel sold 3D printing kit? That interests me a little, if I could 3D-print interesting objects.

Lego would interest me. I loved Lego as a child, and during the pandemic, to pass the parsley, I got hold of a very large kit of it to make a Routemaster bus. The bus was so big it ended up on the Route 15 Heritage Service in London for several months. But I’m not sure Lego would want to see its products‘ various parts on shopping television? I wouldn’t want the likes of Simon Peters touching my bits and pieces either.

The watercolours is with Matthew Palmer. He's canny.

Can you actually believe that ideal world sold a 3d printer a few years ago.

Lol. Yes, I always tell visitors/tourists to save their money on the expensive open top London sightseeing buses and to start with, just take the route 15 bus from Trafalgar Square. Goes Strand, Aldwych, Monument (Great fire of London), Tower Hill/Tower of London/Mr Tower Bridge, St. Pauls Cathedral, the City, Aldgate East (for the Gherkin/Tower 42 ex NatWest), and to the east End, Poplar for Canary Wharf and Blackwell (church and London's Burning TV fire station!)

Along with 10 & 14 covers Piccadilly Circus, Oxford/Regent St , theatreland Soho and you're done! 😜

Is this when I say Lego? Remember Meccano? (my preference) 😄

Oh really. I bet it wasn't cheap on IW? Now you mention it, I might have a vague recollection, but can't remember details or the price?
How's the painting going? 🖌️🎨

Maybe there’s a chance as it’s the same company, they might not be told to BS on Shop Extra

It was interesting to see Ryan go into folk singer round the campsite mode amongst the paper clips and staple guns last night. Not the sharp-suited watch boy PUSH PUSH PUSH to buy on Ideal World act. Did Mason ever do Create & Craft? I seem to recall I saw him covering once - looking like he’d just lost £500 and found a fiver. Paisley card making and sticking giraffes on cardboard zoos clearly not his sewing bag.
