Craig again has use his ipad to buy an item while on air , this isn't the first time hes done this along with some of the other presenters, The fact he was so smug about it makes my blood boil, Why do Qvc allow the presenters to do this.

The presenters get a staff discount so surely its more in Qvc's interests to allow a customer to buy it at full price. If they get the presenters to do this in order to encourage viewers to purchase aswell, then they have lost the plot big time.

Was it a candle? He must have a ton already, faux or not! I don't like this behaviour, it is not professional. Do it beforehand presenters. It doesn't encourage me to buy.

Exactly the presenters are meant to "prep" there shows , so should know what items will feature in them , if they are that desperate for the item then that's the time to order , or take the chance of it selling out and wait till after the show.

I think its a childish rouse to get us excited enough to buy it. they know what qvc sell so why would they need to buy it on air. daft imao

I have only seen Craig do this on air and usually on a Yankee show. I agree he could have bought it beforehand so I also think it is a (rather pathetic!) ploy. More often I notice the ridiculous "oh I hope it doesn't sell out before I get off air and can buy it" malarkey from the likes of Huntley. I do not believe her for a minute!!!!!

What did he buy this time? Once that Pipa was on 'pretending' to show how to order some Lola Rose jewellery and I thought I bet she's really ordered that.

Ridiculous practice! They are so desperate for sales they are resorting to cheap tricks like this. I object to being treated like a sheep that should follow the herd. If I buy something it will be because I want / need / like it not because I see some overpaid, jumped-up little sales twat tapping their app! "Oooh there's one left, but you can't buy it because I just bought it with my staff discount! Well done if you got yours! I already have 500 of these in the drawer because I have very kindly been given some to try."

I caught the show, just as Craig was telling us that, while Gill Gauntlet talked about the product, he'd be ordering, using his iPad and the app. He ordered a set of Lindy Bowman boxes with characters on them (e.g. snowmen and the like.)

Huntley is not alone in this, and I've also seen her order on air. Do they believe their audience has the intelligence of a gnat that we cant see through this ? Its infuriating beyond belief when they spout this piffle, they have every opportunity to purchase before they go on air, as they see all the products beforehand on a table/trolley, so why the hell don't they ? Even Charlie spoke to his 'other half' on air, and asked her to order if she was watching.......... almost like making private phone calls at work, so why couldn't he do that before he went on air ??

I have seen Chuntley do this before either that or she will say "please save one for me" to whoever the guest is.

A few years back Huntley whined through a whole two hours show because a pair of earrings she wanted sold out. The usual 'Please save a pair for me!', they sold out just after that and it was whine, whine, whine, whine.

Then the Ipads arrived on air and it was she was tapping away and talking at the same time whilst she actually bought it. There was one occasion a TSV limited stock (sorry cannot remember the show, but I bet someone will), when she suddenly bought it and it sold out straight afterwards. All hell broke out on here and Q FB page about her doing that when it was already limited, no doing it quietly out of shot in the ad breaks Q have. Loads of people wanted it and she sat on air talking to the guest and sailed in and bought it there and then. The thing which really p*ssed everyone off was the guest was describing it and she suddenly decided she must have it. I mean they are suppose to prep before the show look at the items and read the description cards etc.

Sara Griffiths a few years ago even left the studio to order something! Doubtless she got her knuckles rapped for that, so aren't they all delighted now they've all got ipads to "show how easy it is to order". The point is, they aren't being paid (by us) to be customers, they're being paid (by us) to be presenters.

I agree, I switch off just as soon as they start their over sell.

Yes, it's very, very patronising but the staged shopping must work as a sales ploy as some people do think the presenters are doing genuine spur of the moment shopping because the item's so fab.

If I were presenting and wanted to buy an item I would do it discreetly for I wouldn't want to make a big song and dance about it. What I buy would have no relevance to the customers.

LEFT THE STUDIO???????? How professional is that!! Mind you, I think some of the guests must be livid at the way the presenters tap away on an iPad and barely pay them any attention. It is so obvious they are not really listening and I think it is extremely rude. They just go Mmmm Mmmm whilst scrolling through that bl**dy (can we write that in full on here???) Twitter feed. I realise that may just be me showing my age!
