Haha!!! And never have I been so happy to hear of a cat pooping!!!

That is fab news though. I reckon he's well and truly on the road home now ;)

From mobile, please excuse any silly errors!! :)

That's brilliant news, so glad to hear it he's well on the way to a full recovery and he'll soon be home where he belongs! :mysmilie_378:

finally........the day 12 louis update. the feeding tube is out and he might be allowed home tomorrow depending on how he is overnight!!! i have to say i'm a little nervous and unless they're absolutely sure, i'd rather he stay in over the weekend. he's still only eating a few biscuits, no wet food yet. anyway, i'll be guided by the vet :)

Ah that's lovely news Janie!! I'm so pleased for you both. I don't blame you for being nervous either. I guess if the vet isn't sure about him and your ability to look after him he'll say so. At least he is better and you can see a light at the end of the tunnel. He'll be home soon enough cwtched up in his special place :D

A bit like coming home with a first baby lol.
I'm sure they wouldn't send Louis home if there was any cause for concern janie.
Anyway, we are all here to get you through.

i think there are a couple factors here - one, they think i'm bursting to get him home and also it's the weekend. they prefer to send their patients home because then they can get by with less staff. having said that, they have the best interests of the animal at heart, so if he needs to stay, he'll stay. the nurse i spoke to today said he's got them all wrapped round his little paw and is clearly enjoying having a whole team of slaves. apparently he gets really annoyed if they don't tend to his needs first - if they go to one of the other patients, he goes out of his way to get their attention. lol! she also said the same as the vet - that he thinks he's king and looks down his nose at all of them. that's my boy :giggle:

lou and i would like to thank you all for all your support, you have no idea how much it means to us and how much it helped :) (((hugs)))

Fantastic news!!! Welcome home Louis!! He's probably used to attention 24/7 and isn't best pleased when you dare turn your back on him, he he! That really is fab. I hope he makes a full recovery and stays home with you :D

Glad to hear that Louis is home now Janie - unsettled & bad tempered sounds good for a recovering poorly, definitely on the mend then! LOL

A quiet corner, cat bed or box will make him feel better I'm sure

Aww, he looks really content there Janie!! Bless his cotton socks!!!

Casey has been sick twice that I know of today :( She has been eating grass again. Once was in the garden so I couldn't see what came up and the second time was on her favourite blanket under the kitchen table. This was dried food.

I noticed that she started being sick most mornings after the dried food added a 'dental' element to it. I think I will take it up and see if this stops it from going any further. It's exactly the same as it was but with an extra 'biscuit' in a funny shape. Wonder if this is the culprit? Hmm..

Asda have stopped selling their favourite wet food, I am so annoyed. It took me years to find something they both loved. It's trial and error now again, and I really don't want to be messing Casey's stomach around at the moment. Grr, why do they do that?! Have checked all other supermarkets and only Sainsburys sell it. I'll have to start doing online shops there as it's not local. Annoyed :banghead:

Sorry for the rant!!
