Are they saying "Thinsulate" 100's of times today for a bet I wonder?? Apparently they're selling these items in Asda for 3 quid. The Antartic expedition stories are rolling off the tongue again! If that Sally Jaxx sells them again I think I'll get a migrane! :yawn:

They're in Primark too, for pennies, they sell that hats as well. I know Thinsulate is a well known brand, and yes probably the same technology is used in bona fide climbing/exploaration gear...BUT I've always seen it as a budget brand, and more likely to be found in markets, and shops like Poundstretcher and Primark than specialist outdoor clothing companies. Again, they've got hold of some tenuous bit of information and made it the mainstay of their demonstration, which is ridiculous really...but gives us something to laugh about I guess!
St Peter Simon was saying the other night (Friday?) how the Thinsulate hat, gloves and scarf set more or less helped to save him during
his illness by keeping his core temperature up...... he said that he wears them in bed.... thats funny cos the other week when i was
watching him selling the wonderful thomas brooks overcoat he said that he wore that in bed over his jacket.... Right, so thats a jacket,
a thomas brooks overcoat, hat, gloves and a scarf in bed... YEAH RIGHT, of course you do...
Thats not the end of it all though... I dont know if you all know this but Peter suggested that Sir Ranulph Fiennes is wearing the set to
walk across the Arctic (i might be wrong but i thought it was the Antarctic)... so it must be good stuff indeed!
It then got me thinking that if Mr Fiennes was lucky enough to own a worry angel he could take that with him in his back pocket, then
he would be guarenteed of his safety... Wot a load of old cobblers!!!
