If you go on the Bon Marche website they have a list of shops. We have four within a 12 mile radius near Portsmouth. Hopefully there’s one near you.

I live near Cambridge which doesn’t appear to have one on the list!

There is one in Saffron Walden but the main factor is I’ve been completely housebound for 17+ years so even if there was one within 1 mile I wouldn’t have known about it!

I’m disabled and can’t remember the last time went to the shops. Must be at least 10 years. I knew there used to be one in my local shopping centre but checked online to see if it was still there.

Totally agree with you about the internet. I’ve been having home groceries delivered for around 20 years now. In the past as it was cheaper paying the delivery costs than getting a taxi there and back. We have an awful bus service here and none of them go to the local supermarkets as they’re all out of town. Friends used to take the Mickey out of me for having home deliveries but a few of them phoned me up during Covid to ask how it all works as they needed home deliveries.

At least when you order stuff online, you know it’s in stock and therefore no wasted journeys to the stores and it not being available.
