I have a lot of admiration for what Michelle Mone has achieved in her life. She's created her wealth from her own hard work, not by being a celebrity. The TV work occurred afterwards.

Vaguely as an underwear brand because I never look further than M&S for underwear, but Michelle Mone's name isn't one I knew till I googled it. Obviously now I know, I'll be buying every diamoneek piece that bears her stamp.

She's a strange one isn't she?
In some ways I see a hard faced cow who'd sell her own mother if it meant more profit, but on the other hand I have total admiration for what she has achieved.
And I think a lot of the hate towards her is a bit unjustified in many ways. I wouldn't say she's any more ruthless than Alan Sugar for example, but while he gets lauded for it, she gets the b1tch comments just because she's a woman.
I remember when is was announced that Abbey Clancey was to be the new Ultimo model. All was going well until she featured in a photoshoot wearing a different brand of underwear. Michelle sacked her there & then IIRC.

Saying that though, I don't get the Daimoneeeeeeek connection either.

Also, I do enjoy it when Alison Young tries to talk over her. Michelle just carries on speaking regardless.

I think we've all had 'stuff' to deal with in our lives, and very few of us get that 'being in the right place at the right time' moment. As Q are bringing anyone on who are remotely 'famous' to 'design' their diamoneek, well, my Dad managed to book the Rolling Stones to appear in Ramsgate in the 1960's, and I once applied to be Barbara Cartland's social secretary, so does that give me enough kudos to get a chance at playing jewellery designer too ???
