Absolutely ridiculously priced! If Michelle Mone(y) was an A list Hollywood celebrity it would still be expensive. I could make reference to her underwear empire like, she'll have her knockers (get it?) and deservedly so...........but I'm too polite for that. :mysmilie_17:

Lol at Michelle Mone(y) very apt.

After her ennoblement I expect QVC presenters will be bowing and scraping to her. I trust they will not use the nickname which one of the newspapers has on its front page today. Lady Knickers.

Buy her eek, everyone, and help a handsome young window cleaner out. According to today's Daily Mail she owes him £140.

Never mind stocking your present drawer for bin men etc, get buying now and a poor tradesman might get his bill paid.

shopperholic, Lol, sounds bloomin' painful to me!! Typical, yet another one who "thinks" they are a designer of something (Ker-ching! is the only thing they think, let's face it).....what next? Katy Price thinks she's a brain surgeon?

Me neither Lynn, from what I've seen of the woman she seems to be up her own backside whilst looking down her nose.........some fete :mysmilie_14:

brissles, Lol, you'll be on Q before you can blink! It cracks me up, this cult of celebrity! When the quiz show "Pointless" has a celebrity show, the Other Half and I spend most of the time saying "who's he?", "who's she?" Talk about 5 minutes (never mind 15 minutes!) of fame. To me, a celeb. is someone with a real talent for something, someone who has worked hard at their craft - not some talentless twerp who happens to make an exhibition of themselves on a regular basis and shout their mouth off to the media. I think it's safe to say that Hell will freeze over before I buy any Eeek designed by this person..

I think we've all had 'stuff' to deal with in our lives, and very few of us get that 'being in the right place at the right time' moment. As Q are bringing anyone on who are remotely 'famous' to 'design' their diamoneek, well, my Dad managed to book the Rolling Stones to appear in Ramsgate in the 1960's, and I once applied to be Barbara Cartland's social secretary, so does that give me enough kudos to get a chance at playing jewellery designer too ???

I have a lot of admiration for what Michelle Mone has achieved in her life. She's created her wealth from her own hard work, not by being a celebrity. The TV work occurred afterwards.

Well said :mysmilie_59: She has worked very hard to get where she is today! I will probably check out her jewellery and good luck to her - great to see a hard working Scottish lassie doing well :mysmilie_48:

I cannot stand the woman, she no longer owns Ultimo - which do not do bras in my size anyway, so she has done zilch for me. Her company ran at a great loss, so why the hell has she been granted the kingdom of the lords - utter rubbish, as some Scottish Business people of many years standing have rightly complained that she is the new zar - utter bilge.

saw your reply too late - but I say again, utter bilge - she is no more hard working than you or me, or anyone else for that matter, and she didn't do it alone anyway. Sorry but I am the first person to wish well for those who have strived and worked hard behind their products or businesses, but she doesn't even come close in my opinion.

I'm getting the bus to QVC tomorrow to start my expensive jewellery range, I'm going to charge £250 for a silver ring, oh and I think I'll charge £400, no wait! £500 for a bangle............what? no ones heard of me either which gives me full credentials to start my own jewels range, no advanced orders so "get yours! get yours now!" :mysmilie_13:

Totally agree, the woman's got too much time on her hands and probably thought "I know! I'll become a jewellery designer!" and an expensive one at that, shows you what world she lives in if she thinks the QVC customer can afford that. I don't begrudge anyone success that's earned it, but as far as I'm concerned she hasn't.

Have a care, shopperholic. You will put your stunningly beautiful faux jewellery in the 'considered purchase' realm.

I agree. Success in this country, is regarded with envy and disdain. Work hard to increase your assets, and one is begrudged the subsequent wealth. In the USA, success and good fortune is celebrated.

That's quite a rude, sweeping comment to make. I'm sure I speak for us all when I say that I'm not envy of anyone's success who have earned it, and I don't find lying about in your knickers and bra getting your photo taken hard work. I wonder would she get what she gets if she had a face like a bag of spanners?

Since when did posing in your boulder-holder and drawers require talent? Do tell me, I'd love to know! If you're speaking about your own personal opinion, you may well regard her with "envy and disdain" but I don't: I actually applaud anyone who achieves success in something after hard work - conversely I don't admire anyone who decides they are suddenly a jewellery designer, or whatever, without any hard work to lend them credibility. She's simply trading on her name - remind me, exactly what credentials does she have to suddenly declare herself a jewellery designer? And your comment "In the USA success and good fortune is celebrated" is a somewhat sweeping statement, as anyone who has had dealings with the US of A in the real world might be able to tell you!

Hang on, shopperholic, by the time tomorrow comes you will have thought about your plan for a whole day...that's far too long....Heck, you don't plan these things, you just make a phone call and someone else does the graft, so that you can get yourself dressed in your best to appear on Q, spouting a load of bilge about how many hours you've put into your creation.:mysmilie_59:

Absolutely excellently put History. As far as I'm aware, America is home of the celebrity blogger, E-News, Fashion Police, Page Six, The Enquirer, to name a few, all of these have one thing in common and that's to bring the celebrity down, actors or entrepreneurs, no ones safe they all get the same treatment, so as for thinking America celebrates good fortune, some do some don't, it's actually the same the whole world over.

Of course! What was I thinking?! I'll just sit on me bum till they call me in, I'll just dig out my old creased dusters and M C Hammer pants and say I'm wearing Yong Kim and Join Clothes...........they'll never know the difference :giggle:

Yes Miss Grumpy now you come to mention it, there is more to it than meets the eye making cheap tat and passing it off as expensive.
