Some of the Mally lipsticks, blushes and eye products I own have solid metal packaging that would put any expensive premium brand to shame. Interesting her packaging manufacturer was one of those petitioning for bankruptcy. On the other hand sometimes she used cardboard packaging in the TSV's which were not so good, though the product inside was/is second to none.
I have bought and chucked out Boots no 7, MAC and Bobbi Brown. I have enjoyed using Chanel. There is no way on earth I would pay Tom Ford prices for a lipstick no matter how good it is. I have tried them in store and to me the texture is like Doll10 lipstick, but Doll10 use far cheaper packaging of course.
I have Mally eye pallets that are still loved nearly 2 years later. Her eyeshadow sticks and her eyeliner cannot be beaten for colour, smooth texture and all day staying power. I apply it over the top of eyeshadow, with a shadow base underneath. Her mascara is one of the best on the market. So for eye products I really think the naysayers are missing out.
Foundations are something Mally has never nailed. Face Defender is good, but I don't always want to mattify my complexion.
Her primers are the best-and I have tried many.
Her blushes are lovely, the contour system and also the tubes of face defender blush last forever and give such a natural effect.
Her lipsticks are excellent, I particularly like the cardboard BFF pink one, the medium nude shade and the coral one that is sold as a duo with a nude one, gold packaging, shaped like a chunky crayon. I love her lip glosses, so natural looking when worn despite the colour in the tube. They don't last long but lip glosses don't.
Many excellent companies go bankrupt because of terrible money management and insisting on quality ingredients and packaging. They end up in debt despite sales and people loving the products. Then they get taken over and ingredients and packaging cheapen, made in China, corners cut. So far some of Mally's products have been affected but thankfully some have not. Eyesticks, liners, mascara and lipstick (what's INSIDE the packaging) still very good so for now I am still buying. I have tended to buy something every visit for last 4/5 years! I return what I don't like.
