i find mally make up crude. dont like qvc make up bundles. all that i have bought have been sold/returned on. paying £45-£50 for a make up hamper and i may only use one item. if that. prefer to go to a good make up counter and buy a couple of really nice items that i really love and use until finished. less "stuff" cluttering the bedroom

Not for me. I only like her eye sticks and mascara. I`ve found Boots eye sticks to be as good and most of Mally`s tend to be brownish shades or too sparkly. I love her taupe one but Boots do a lovely gunmetal grey in theirs.
I stocked up on her mascaras the last time Q had the pack of 3 on sale.

Which Boots eyesticks are good?

I too only really desire the eye stick. The brown face products would probably not suit my very fair skin.

Thx for this - will definitely give them a try ( love this site for sharing info like this )

I second the Boots ones, used them since they first came out & prefer them to the Mally as some are not as shiny/glittery as the Mally
Bargain too when they give out the No7 vouchers. At the moment there's a GWP with two No7 cosmetics as well.

Contains:
1 x Face Defender Boost in Universal Bronze (9.9g) NEW - a re-worked version of the popular Evercolor Poreless Face Defender, this sheer, matte and lightweight gel-like formula offers a perfecting finish for your make-up, while giving an instant warming glow. It works to diffuse the look of pores, minimise fine lines, and help your make-up last longer, giving a flawless-looking matte finish

1 x Volumizing Mascara in Black (10ml) - with a combination of natural waxes and powders, this mascara helps to create the look of gorgeous, full, luxurious lashes. The brush works with the powders in the formula to help thicken the look of lashes without clumping, giving you long-lasting volume
1 x Evercolor Starlight Waterproof Eyeliner in Sailor (1.2g) - a long-lasting, water-resistant deep navy eyeliner that glides on effortlessly. Create supreme definition along the top or bottom lash line, or smudge for a smokier effect
1 x Evercolor Shadow Stick Extra in Over The Taupe (1.6g) NEW - this easy-to-apply taupe eyeshadow stick gives a sheer wash of colour, or can be layered for a more intense finish
1 x H3 Gel Lipstick in Orchid (3.4g) NEW - this gel-infused, hydrating deep pink orchid lipstick glides on effortlessly and is designed to moisturise your lips while giving a high-pigment colour finish
1 x Strobe Cream (3.7g) NEW - designed to be used to draw light to the high points of your face such as your cheekbones, brow bones and Cupid's bow, this Strobe Cream is a lightweight highlighter designed to give a bright and dewy look

How to apply:
Face Defender Boost:

Press the application sponge into the compact, and then gently press it into the skin

Strobe Cream:

Start by pressing into the cheekbones, using your finger or a sponge, then work into the eyelid
For extra highlighting, press a little down the centre of the nose, under the bottom lip, on the cupid's bow and to the inner corners of your eyes. You can also apply over the lips to make the lips look fuller before applying lipstick

Evercolor Shadow Stick Extra:

Glide the over your lids, then blend into the creases with your fingers or a brush

Evercolor Starlight Eyeliner:

Start at the outside of the eye and work inwards toward the corner of the eye, staying as close to the lash base as possible
Smudge within 30 seconds for a smokier look

Volumizing Mascara:

Apply from the root to the tip
Wiggle the wand as you move towards the end of your lashes - this will help to separate your lashes and prevent clumping
Add two coats for a fuller, thicker look

H3 Gel Lipstick:

Using the specially designed tip of the bullet, draw around the edges of your lips, then fill in your lips
Press your lips together

"Sailor" is a nice navy blue eye liner. If you're happy selling stuff on ebay and want everything but the bronzing FaceDefender then I reckon it's still a good buy and you may get a few quid for the item you sell.

I wonder how many they'll have to sell; probably fewer than usual, plus it's easier to sell a set that doesn't involve a colour choice so I'll probably hang on in hopes of a decent OTO.

They are crazy premium prices I don't know how they sell individual items. The lippy packaging looks very cheap and nasty to me.

Agree about the prices of individual items. But not to bothered about how it's packaged. Mally has been quite variable with packaging in the past.

Couldn't agree more. Looks like £2.50 lippy from Superdrug.

I can hear Ali Young now harping on about how teenage girls will be impressed by you buying them the Mally brand. No they won't, no-one generally outside of the QVC world will know of Mally. If someone gave me that lippy and I didn't watch QVC I'd assume it was cheap because of the packaging and unknown brand.

sorry for those prices i would be hitting a premium high street shop and buying my premium make up brands.

Didn't know Q did next day any more

Cynical more like! If you want to give it as a gift - you're definitely going to have to fork out for next day delivery. It's a Sunday, so it applies... whereas if they'd made it a Saturday TSV they couldn't.

Yes the only problem with that is that owing to how 'brilliantly' the 'new concept' (well for QVC anyway) of next day delivery is, thus the shambles they made of it earlier this year, I am not even sure whether that is an option.

Also Mally grates on me after about 2 minutes 'my lovelies' so wouldn't know whether what she is selling is any good any way. Imagine if she had fulfilled her first route and became a doctor!

I watched the launch last night and thought that brown face defender stuff looked awful, like sludge.ln fact l think everything looked a bit cheap. Alison Young really needs to sort her hair out, it looks like someone has taken the kitchen scissors to it and just chopped the ends of. It really needs a bit of softening because it does not do anything for her at the moment.

Sorry Mally and I dip in and out of your shows. Your products should be Boots No7 prices not what QVC UK think they should be. Oh and No7 do have better packaging. You are not a prestigious brand in any form, your company went bankrupt and the price offered and in the end paid Rimmel has a higher stock market value.
