In her shower she has the Ojon hydrating duo (super sizes), the Ojon damage repair duo (super sizes), the Ojon colour conserve duo and the the Hairfix trio. She also has Decleor shower gel and Gatineau body exfoliator, her Clarisonic and also her L'Occitane foot scrub. Philip Kingsley stuff comes somewhere in there too.

Her shower must be VERY large.

Do you think the scalp scratch might be nerves? Or has she ever said she is an eczema sufferer? If she is all that Ojon wont help. She should keep her haircare simple and get some scalp application from her GP.

What ever the problem is she has to much money to spend on all of these so called"wonder" products her poor scalp doesn't know whether it is coming or going.
She need to find ONE product range that works for her and stick with it.
It doesn't matter if is from the dreaded high street or one of "Qs" ranges chopping and changing is only going to make the scalp more irritated.

She used to present spirulina tablets and raved about them. A side effect is itching if dose is too high.

I seem to remember AY mentioning that one of the presenters- she didn't say who- had a scalp problem. I assume it is JF. You'd think the so- called "resident beauty expert" could point her in the right direction wouldn't you? She should try a product called Nizoral which was recommended to me by our local pharmacist. It's brilliant for getting rid of flaky, itchy scalp problems.

Thanks for this, will give it a go. My scalp is terribly tight, dry and flaky and I just can't stop scratching and picking at it (sorry..), it's miserable. Tried all sorts of "gentle" shampoos and conditioners - Aveda, MOP, Ojon but nothing works.

Does anyone have any more suggestions that might help me please ?

Does anyone have any more suggestions that might help me please ?

Give it a go Linda. Just stick with it for the initial period and then you can use it much less frequently. It is available on prescription so you might be able to get it for free. It's worth asking your GP anyway. All I can say is it has worked wonders for me as my flaky scalp was caused by a psoriasis type of thing and no shampoo would ever have improved it.

Neutrogena T/Gel is very effective for my psoriasis - Boots have it. Calms my scalp down very quickly

I know it's cheap and very " supermarket", but Head & Shoulders Dry Scalp (not dandruff- it's different) works if scalp is just dry, flaky and tight- feeling, and there is a matching conditioner. It worked for me then I went back to Liz Earle shampoo However It won't do any good for a condition like psoriasis which needs a more specialist product probably from the doctor, as the problem here is the over- production and too- speedy renewal of cells. Often the same prescription is given for both psoriasis and Eczema, I have a bottle of Betnovate scalp application in my medicine cabinet fir a stubborn couple of patches of eczema that keep coming back in the same spot when I get stressed. You just apply through the nozzle like the phillip kingsley one and it stings a bit if you've been scratching ir picking (naughty!) but it works.

Lush have a coal tar shampoo bar that worked for me - luckily I like the smell! and it is not expensive.

Maybe a few drops of tea tree oil added to a palmful of shampoo and left on the scalp for a few minutes may help. Cleanses the scalp. This is also effective for nits (20 minutes) according to hairdressers.
