From things that have been said during the shows, Gill and others take a lot of it home ….. in lock n lock of course. 😉 I guess that’s better than it going to waste.
After the last airing of the TSV, is the food they show in the containers kept for the next day, or are the containers refrigerated over night and brought out the next morning? Or, is it taken home that night and fresh cooked food shown the next day? What a crime if they bin it all.

They’re probably the same items that were shown on the previous day but the presenters and studio staff possibly take some home ton the TSV night. I just know that I wouldn’t want to eat food that’s been hanging around for hours in a studio. In the past, Gill has said that she’s taken food home that’s been cooked on other food shows and that’s far better than wasting it. Mind you, she’s got enough Lock n Lock, from what she said yesterday, to take a studio of food home. 😉 However, like you, I think it wouid be appalling to bin food. Taking it to a homeless shelter would be even better.

The chicken dishes and the salmon would go off really quickly. And the eggs. All of it, in fact, would be suspect and unappealing after a few hours. Shame.

Way back in the days of the old Battersea studios, I remember one of the presenters mentioning that leftover food after a kitchen TSV day would be given to the nearby dogs' home
