i have been buying from chepasmells for several years. its a funny thing with fragrances on the whole several will smell similar. i buy a lot of vintage perfume from cheapsmells for very little money that are now being renamed and cost a fortune. liz earles perfumes look really small for the money though and no.1 even though its an edp it wears like a cologne on me. you will be spritzing it all day for £45 thats an expensive spritz.

SmellsCheap even sell Creed who are pretty niche. The Fragheads on Basenotes ask it they sell fakes because the price is so good. Everyone tells them, no.
I can 100% say that all the items I've bought from cheapsmells are genuine. The perfume arrives celophane wrapped and I know Lalique very well, so I'd tell in an instant. Also, to reproduce the bottles as copies to sell from 1 supplier would cost more than what they're asking as sculptured glass is Laliques other equally large business. They're brilliant for beauty brands like Decleor too x.

Good job we're all different because I love it and have had several people ask about it. Why don't you email Liz Earle Direct Reflexgirl and ask if they would kindly send you a free sample phial......I'm sure they would oblige and appreciate that perfume smells are a very personal thing.

I'm on to my second bottle. I love it and always thinking perfume never notices on me, I was quite surprised to get a compliment about it. I was told it had a very clean, herbal-vanilla scent. It lasts too so I'll be with this for some time.

I have just received my Botanical Essence No1. I really like it but it is more of a spring/summer fragrance. My husband has just walked into the room and asked
" What's that nice smell? " It's definitely a keeper!

Could be your lucky night tonight then Mia - an early Christmas pressie maybe.......

i have to say liz earle manages her product line very well. everything is usually top quality

Mia I definitely have winter and summer perfumes. I like warmer fragrances in winter. I'm more likely to go with fruity florals in summer.

Enjoy! Glad himself likes it.

I had a funny comment a while back. At a family gathering my sister in law to be arrived and I heard her say "Tink" must be here, I can smell roses.)

I suspect I'd love it, I love BPAL's Morocco, EA Red Door and Just bought myself both of Dita von Teese's perfumes. Haven't had a chance to try it yet, thou.

I've just gooogled Lalique's Fleur De Cristal 100ml EDP and just bought it from Amazon for £30 + £4.20 p&p!! In Selfridges and Ebay it's £95 for the exact same size bottle of 100ml! I bought mine last year from cheapsmells & got a bargain at £26 no p&p charges but this year they only had the 50ml for £28. Still stonking good value as that's £65 usually. Amazon had 1 100ml left at £30 after my purchase so fastest fingers first peeps! Cheapsmells has completely sold out of it now. Just goes to show the power of this forum as people messaged me & thanked me as they hadn't seen it for anywhere near that price at the time but now the sales are on. Amazon had other suppliers selling the 100ml for only a couple of quid more so it's on there at an exceptional price!
Anyone who loves the Liz Earle smell of the facial tonic will love Fleur De Cristal in my opinion. It's described as white petals unfolding in the sun & that's exactly what it's like but fresh, hence the "Cristal" in the name. It lasts for hours too as it's made from natural oils. I'd call it a heavenly, uplifting fragrance with some depth but in an enjoyable way, not heavy or sickly. Amazon had other Lalique fragrances too like Perles & Amethyst as well as some mens fragrances all at incredible prices.

I had hoped that 1 of the LE parfums would resemble her face tonic but if I'm honest I was disappointed that neither fragrance did when I tested them.

Isn't it incredible how there can be such a wide discrepancy with perfume prices. It just goes to show how much the mark up for profit actually is.

I like warm scents for winter too. I wear L'Occitane Ambre, Windsong (a fairly inexpensive scent from the USA that smells like a spicier version of L'Air du temps- lasts all day and comes in a beautiful box with colourful little birds on it), and for best Chanel no. 5. In the summer I switch to L'Air du Temps, one called Tiare that Flamenco reccommended as being close to Elemis Frangipani - she was right!-and Eau de Joy, a vintage one that my mum gave me as she didn't like it.

I picked up the Lalique one for £30 ( thanks Nikki) as I too love the smell of Liz Earle skin tonic. Fingers crossed, I love wearing perfumes that not everyone wears or recognises, L'Air du Temps aside!

A fellow forumite- sorry I forget who it was- inspired me last year to have a new years resolution to wear perfume every day. I never used to bother and now really enjoy the experience of choosing which to wear. I only have 6 bottles though.

Absolutely agree - it lifts your spirits especially if someone you encounter during the day comments on it.

Funnily enough Weathergirl, I told myself that I should make more of an effort to wear perfume every day too! I have dribs and drabs of my old faves left - Emporio Armani She (for night) and Chanel Allure for day. I have a few others that I want to use up, and have just had two of the Next ones that I intend to wear to work. I wish I had a signature scent! A few of hubby's mates remark when I wear the EA on nights out, and it is my fave out of the lot. Maybe I should just stick to it?! My mum loves mega strong perfume, she used to adore Poison and now mainly wears Obsession. A strong perfume is just her, even in the daytime. Hmm...thinking now!

I wear a different perfume every day.

I hit the sales this morning, SpaceNK hit pay dirt with a Diptyque 100mls down from £68 to £10, Virgilio.

House of Fraser I have gift voucher so bought two gift sets at 33% and 30% plus the gift voucher.

I wear perfume every day. Capirossi is EA the one in the soft gold metal cylinder?? If so that's lovely.

I got Jo Malone Pomegranate Noir for Christmas but I've temporarily lost my sense of smell so am waiting for that to return before I give it a go.

Even though perfume can be expensive you use such a small amount each time that, to me, it's an affordable luxury. I usually have three or four on the go at any one time. My absolute favourite at the minute is Lipstick Rose by Frederic Malle ... definitely a warm and cosy fragrance for me.

I try to remember to wear perfume everyday but sometimes forget. I don`t tend to stay faithful to any one though. I have a couple of favourites, Quelques Fleurs and Samsara but that could change if a different perfume grabs my attention. My sis bought me one for Christmas but sadly its horrible on me, way too heavy and gave me a headache within minutes, Kenzo Amour. Destined for the charity shop when I go into town next week.
I wish I could be one of those women who finds THE perfume for her, that elusive signature scent. My sis only wears the orginal Miss Dior and has done since her early 20`s and its so her. I reckon I must be a bit of a mongrel when it comes to perfume, a bit of this, bit of that etc.

I have different spring/summer and autumn/winter perfumes then different ones for day or night - stronger at night. For the last few years it hasn't varied much: a/w day is Cabochard and night is Mitsouko; s/s has changed a bit this year because I discovered Clarins fragrances and alternate between the blue and the red bottles for daytime but always Caleche at night.

That's the one Tink. Loves it I do!! Hope you get your smell back soon.

I am currently honking like a beauty addict mongrel, haha! I bathed in Champneys bubbles, washed in L'O Rose 4 reines, Next Paris body creme and L'O R4R shampoo and conditioner!! Am sitting in the kitchen surrounded by the waft of hubby's curry on the hob - total overkill on my sense of smell, wouldn't be surprised if mine went astray for a while!

Thank you for that Weathergirl. I have terrible trouble with perfume in that I dislike most of them and I'm always on the hunt for something new. L'air du Temps is the only one that I am safe with and come back to again and again. It stays true and is easy to wear but my daughter keeps telling me to try something different for a change. For me a scent mustn't be too strong and mustn't be musky - I hate it if I can still smell it when I get into bed and sometimes even after a late bath. I have a sample of the Liz no 15 and I do quite like it as a winter scent because it isn't very heavy and doesn't cling but I don't think I'd risk buying a whole bottle. I love the elemis frangipani oil and often that's all I wear. Applied to warm damp skin it just exudes a beautiful subtle aroma most of the day so I'm very interested to try Tiare. The l'Occitane Ambre and Lalique might be worth a sniff too.

I love wearing perfume and never go out without some on,one of the perks of being a lady I think, being able to wear perfume! But it is funny that what smells nice on someone can smell revolting on yourself, as I have often found, I had a bottle of liz earle's newest scent for Xmas and whilst I like it, it is not long lasting,I do love Coco Mademoiselle,an oldie I know but it always makes me feel good.
