Here is a transcript of part of the 11am-12 noon Clarks hour, on the Moray boot:

Claire: .... How does it work?
Jill: It's it's elastic so you don't actually need to undo it ...
Claire: Undo it but it will give you that little bit more ...
Jill: One of them one of them is fixed so that you it it doesn't sort of come off, the tassel doesn't come off and get lost...
Claire: I see, I see... (Uninterested)
Jill: But if you you ... (tsk!) ... you can turn the collar down a little bit as well if you wanted to as well to just have to just have the two two looks ...

I know Jill the Clarks lady is excellent on her product but she does have a stutter and it just needs someone not giving her a bit of space to put her off, as it obviously did. She seemed fine in the midnight hour with chuntley. But this constant interrupting!!! When will they learn???

Mummy proud, Claire?

How annoying is little girl Claire Sutton, how she's allowed to get away with that style of manic, rude, excitable presenting is anyone's guess, actually she doesn't present she performs, when I used to buy form QVC I kept expecting her to burst into a chorus of "Cabaret" shaking her "jazz hands"

She irritates me no end. I know I sound like a miserable old bat, but I cannot stand her little girl act. You're so right, it's her "overly enthusiastic puppy-dog" style of presenting - and her regular interruptions - that get to me. I cannot understand why Q invite guests on, and then let their presenters talk over them, interrupt with some inane comment or finish their sentences for them - Dale does this, and it's just so rude, and Loen does it on IW. And it seems no floor manager or producer or whatever reins them in - so why not just dispense with the guests altogether? There's obviously room for only one ego on set at a time. That's the main reason I can't watch Q for more than a couple of minutes usually.

They must have it in everyone's contract at QVC Towrs H "Do Not Upset A Presemter" it's obviously a sacking offence.

That is the reason why I rarely buy from Q these days, the presenters feel that they are celebrities and it is their show. Someone should explain to them that they are sales assistants nothing more, nothing less. I am not in the least impressed by the flamboyant preening and hair tossing look at me attitude. Only positive is it stops me wasting money on thing I don't need.

You're so right, they DO think they're celebrities when in fact they are purely salesmen and -women, same as your department store assistant but on screen. Talking of IW, though, I MUCH prefer their presenters and can relate to them because they're so much more natural. The QVC sales people simply put me off with all the preening, hair-tossing, finger-stabbing, and all the other little quirks they seem to think are great selling techniques.

I imagine they have regular pep talks from someone who tells them how wonderful they must be to have the privilege of presenting live on day-time telly. No, you're selling. Just like the lad or lass in the department store. Selling. You are sales reps, pure and simple. Being told and believing you are wonderful does not actually make you wonderful. Live with it.
