Let's talk tea

Why do some tea drinkers dunk a biscuit in their cup? I don't do it, but crumbs of biscuit must drop into the tea and ruin the taste.
You can actually buy tea bags that taste like dunked biscuits. I tried one when they put a pack up in my work's canteen, they weren't too bad but I think I'll stick to normal. I have been known to occasionally dunk a biscuit but yes you can get a rather unpleasant mush at the bottom of your cup if you're not careful.

Do any of you have a favourite cup to drink your tea from ? I do or rather I did until Mr V recently broke it. It has to be made of china and not one of the thick heavy pot mugs or cups, it has to hold quite a lot of tea, not a piddly mouthful some tiny cups hold and it has to feel comfortable to hold. I`ve been on the search for a new favourite mug/cup and Mr V is now banned from washing it when I find it !

I can drink out of any cup. Mugs are preferable for both tea and instant coffee. I have 'my' cup though. It's a triangular one with Barcelona sites on it. No, I didn't go there to get it.

Funny how our tastes change, in my 20's I liked strong tea and so it couldn't be run of the mill bags and had to have plenty of sugar in (two heaped).

Then I thought it was giving me stomach cramps, so for many years I stopped drinking it altogether.

It is only in the last 6 or 7 years I have started drinking it again. Less sugar (two level), not quite so strong and fairly cheap bags do nicely. Lidl Gold label is fine as are Morrisons savers when they actually have stock.
