Let's talk ASDA

Yes?!

I see fish can eat tuna and sardines in plain or spring water, not oil or brine, and salmon, some of the time, but they need more protein and other vitamins from chicken and other food staples.

Why are the Northern Irish so rude, intolerant and aggressive? No wonder you couldn't get on with each other. I reckon it's the accent.
Just interested to know when you qualified as a vet or pet nutritionist? And talking of being rude...have you read the first sentence of your second paragraph? Sweeping statement....much? And where's your evidence for it?

You made a post a few days ago about food for a cat. This was corrected because it was wrong. Can't you let it go?

No, can't you?

The first was ascertained from the NI responder.

And secondly, it wasn't wrong. My research, as posted, shows cats can eat some fish, some of the time. Just not all of the time.

And then there's the fishing cats.

I am going to lose my temper with you and your stupid comments about cats and fish!

Cats are land hunters, ever see one going out with a fishing rod? NO!

Fish can be toxic to cats and only given as historymystery said as a treat from vets who are experts. Too much fish can build up a toxic in the cat's liver.

You need to give Asda up, their days are over. Lidl and Aldi have filled their spot. Last month, reports said the biggest supermarket with the most shoppers is Sainsbury. Asda will hang around, but the fantasy they will be a big player is not happening. I am in Northern Ireland and never seen an Asda deliverly van always Sainsbury,Tesco and Iceland.
Don't call me stupid.
And calm your aggressive temper and tone.
Cats can eat fish, in moderation, as per the research/posts I subsequently posted.
And there are cats that fish.

During lockdown we had a letter saying we had to isolate and we we're given Asda as our free delivery.
We used to go to Asda years ago but the delivery was a big eye opener.
Sone of the drivers were surly,we got stuff we hadn't ordered dog food was one I remember,we don't have a dog.
We ended up getting a monthly delivery for £30 a year for a Tues to Thurs delivery with Sainsbury's. Drivers are great they tell us if something has a short date, usually bread, but that goes in the freezer as I rarely eat it.
We use Sainsburys about once a month and use Lidl and M&S the rest of the time.

So by some peculiar logic, your perception of one person turns into a blanket verdict on the whole population of Northern Ireland?

But you never get it wrong, never make a mistake.....do you? :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Hilarious!

She didn't call you stupid, she was stating she thinks your comments on fish and cats are stupid.

Your following comments about people from NI were uncalled for, please refrain from comments like this.

This thread is supposed to be about Asda, a thread you wanted, so let's get it back on track.

I buy my cat food, tins of tuna in spring water, from Asda. Not all the time though.

Not for fish food. That would be cannibalism. I feed my fish cornflakes, full of energy, some protein and vitamins, also from Asda.

Couldn't resist.

Had to reply to this, which made me laugh. What exactly do predators in the ocean eat? Cannibalism is a human-only point of morality, nothing more. Try and tell a marlin that a juicy bait ball of mackerel is off limits!
Fish fingers?

My goldfish don't live in the Ocean.
If I feed them fish, they might get FSE. FishyformSpongiformEncephalitis.

And I assume fish flakes aren't the fish form of athletes fin?

They're talking Blood Pressure monitors over on the Ideal World thread and IW selling them over-priced at £30+.

In Asda they're from £17-£20+, also similar in Boots.

That's one thing I like about Asda, that you can order non-grocery items from their non-food homeware/ clothing/ selected George range, together with your grocery shopping and delivery, all together.

I think it's an aspect of their USP offering they should push more.
I presume Sainsbury's/Tesco offer some of their Tu/F&F(?) or homeware offerings too, never tried non-food items ordering with them, but my perception is Asda's is a wider and more encompassing range.
e.g. Kettles, toasters, microwaves, ceramics, cutlery, mugs, towels, pillows, stamps, etc. Even some microwaves, tech and vacuums

They could get Joe Wicks to start buying fitness kit they offer, to make the point.

According to Wikipedia, not just humans.
"Cannibalism is the act of consuming another individual of the same species as food. Cannibalism is a common ecological interaction in the animal kingdom and has been recorded in more than 1,500 species."

So I don't feed my goldfish dead goldfish. (Carassius auratus). Well, not deliberately, anyway.

But worryingly, they would if they could! "Goldfish are omnivorous, so will eat flesh, but they generally aren't cannibalistic towards each other unless there is a large size difference, or the fish are underfed."

Oh, bring back my goldfish to me.
Bring back, bring back, etc..etc..

Just realised you said and meant morality, attitude, not the definition. Animals would think nothing of... etc. 👍
We just find it a bit, questionable.

Not had a surly Asda driver. Strange isn't it, but I guess they were under more pressure during lockdown.
With the automated dark stores we used to get occasional weird extras. Now we have humans doing it, seems more sensible.
Sainsbury's are good, and I like their eco van delivery options for shorter route journeys.
Do you get M&S via Ocado, or in-store.
