Is anyone a fan of Kim's current hairdo?

It's a flick style, but seems very stiff and comes too far forward on her face IMO.

At first I thought she was wearing a wig. :emo:

Is a pity, because she's looking great in her yellow flowered dress in the 10pm show.

Well, apart from the blue shoes that clash with it.

Sorry - didn't mean to sound like a complete bitch, but it seems such a let down

Why are you feeling let down Enigma? Is it because Kim may be sporting a wiggy, you don't like her hairstyle or is it the blue clashing shoes?

Because she looked fab in that dress! Great make up etc, but such a terrible hairdo.

Just seemed a shame.

Managed to have a look at Kim's parting yesterday whilst watching for a few mins. I think it may be her own hair with extensions or a hairpiece underneath. I can usually spot a wig a mile away because of the parting. Volume extensions are very popular as they are virtually undectable to look at as they're only at the lower half of the head. I do I tip extensions in my spare time. Started as a hobby but there's a lot of demand for the non damaging ones now.

She certainly wore wigs while undergoing chemo but just the occasional Paves Piece now I think.

Having been on the wrong side of hairloss (medical condition) I always feel a little bit uncomfortable with people talking about wigs - why do people think it matters?

People can sometimes make judgements about women based on the condition, thickness etc of their hair - which, actually, is sometimes completely outside of her control.

When I was at my worst, I would have spent every penny I had (and hocked everything I owned) just to get a full head of hair... unless you've been there you can only imagine how demoralising it can be.

Don't want to seem like I'm on a downer but it's a sensitive issue for some people.

I think Ali's hair has grown back and is back to usual. I think she likes to add Ken's hairpieces to add a bit of length.

She is looking very good IMO.

Kim has always had very thick dark hair and it never occurred to me that it is a wig. I stand corrected as I am not an authority. Sometimes it does look at bit stiff, other times, really good. I think she is a very attractive woman, and has a great figure. She is charmingly bonkers - though sometimes I do have to turn the sound down.

Pippa's on at the mo' sorry P if you're reading, but that's deffo a syrup she's wearing imo.

Im pretty sure thats her own hair tbh shes just over done the products abit thou.

Hmm it's possible A but it looked too stiff? It stuck out away from her neckline & there were a couple of bits on the crown sticking up. I could be mistaken tho.

Ooops sorry Tiddly, I didn't see your post, point taken.:handshake:

I honestly don't have an issue with anyone wearing wigs, I'm just fascinated by hair & how people get certain looks with it. As the inheritor of my dad's thin mousey hair that's now got to be dyed every 4 weeks due to patches of white in it I've resorted to having extensions done. Had them now for about 4 years, never looked back & can do a 1 fingered salute in my head to all the hype about hair products that have taken my cash during my adulthood.

No offence taken, it's just that I wanted to give the flip side... I always feel uncomfortable about this kind of topic. I just don't know why some people like to spot wigs and then think it's funny.

Some people just assume that thinning, frizzy or lanky hair is due to a lack of care - and don't seem to understand that sometimes it has nothing to do with poor grooming and there is nothing that can be done to make it grow or look better.

It has taken me years to recover a full head (and it's starting to drop again off and on).

I also have spent a fortune over the years... even went to the Philip Kingsley clinic in London as well as many dermatologists etc.... and I know for an absolute fact that money cannot buy hair if health is the underlying factor.

Anyway, sorry, just wanted to say that the next time you see a 'syrup' please just consider that it might be masking a pretty sad tale rather than just being a fashion statement.

Of course Tiddly. I used "syrup" just because I lived in London for most of my young adult life and it's not an insulting reference there, just a word that is used for a wig. People wear wigs for a variety of reasons & I'd never mock anyone for doing so.
I'm sorry to read about your hair, must be very upsetting at times especially when as you say, if it is an issue at the root that inhibits growth products don't really have an impact no matter how much you spend in most cases.
