Although I really like Julia - I hate watching her on Butler and Wilson shows - the fawning and gushing is far too much. Stop it Julia - it is just tat he is selling. Expensive tat.

At the beginning of the Kipling show on Friday Julia thanked (in gushing terms!!) Kathy for coming in - so they didn't have to do 4 hour shifts - 4 HOUR SHIFTS??????????!!!! Get real love - thank your lucky stars you're not a police officer, nurse, factory worker or just about any worker!!! 4 hour shifts would be a dream. My son (who is a painter and decorator) was watching and nearly spat out his tea at that remark!!!!!

Yes I noticed that too, and couldn't agree more. She really should put her brain in gear before coming out with remarks like that - 4 hours, and that's never 4 hours straight, they always have an hour off in between. Although with her career as a 'dancer', quiz show totty, and her 'partner' as a session musician, its unlikely they know what a hard graft 9 - 5 job is.

As far as the 'background bods' telling them to put a cork in it - its far likely they wouldn't dare !!! Could you IMAGINE some 30 odd year old who was a toddler when Queen Julia started at Q, telling her to cut the crap and stick to selling ? I bet they'd get an icy stare and a reminder as to how long Ms Roberts had worked there and no need to tell HER what to do !

I'm sure Julia is nasty and sarcastic on purpose and is fully aware what she's saying, then hides it with a giggle and intake of breath, she exudes confidence of a woman who knows her job is fully secure and can say what ever she wants. Julia should realise that even if she did do a four hour shift (heaven forbid) it would only be two or three days in one week, honestly, I wonder what world QVC presenters live in I really do.

Now if they did what a lot of folks in the real world have or had to do, twelve hour plus shifts day after day as we did, maybe then I might feel a tiny scrap of compassion. Only a tiny one because they're obviously paid enough to live in expensive houses.

Yes, they don't exactly do a 40 hour week - well not on Q they don't anyway. I'd love to know what extra-curricular the blokes do to up the pay packet when not on Q. I know Dale's wife had a retail shop once, and Simon's Scandinavian wife had her own business too - so they don't do too badly. (Craig we ALL know about!)
