Andrew has just said many of his clients say that when they use Gatineau the wrinkles disappear, stop using it and they come back immediately!!!

Tosh tosh and double tosh. They must think we are stupid!
Paul Daniels will be representing them next...izzy wizzy lets get busy!!

I'll tell you what!

Andrew's eye bags have been hauled up! He looks much better today.
Perhaps he saw some on the comments on here such as he tries to flog us these creams but the proof is in the pudding & Andrew was denied pudding

Just watched the final hour and the tsv is not even at limited stock.Debbie was hard selling for all she was worth, get 2 get 3 etc. I used to like her because she seemed so down to earth and normal but her market stall style is becoming uncomfortable to listen to. Andrew was desperately trying to sell out the tsv to no avail, maybe Gatineau isn't as popular as it used to be,even Michaela looked fed up.

I remember them saying once that they had to sack a model as he'd been using it so much that all his wrinkles had gone permanently, so he was no longer any use to demo the product on.

I think it was a man they were talking about, but not sure.

Debbie was annoying, especially spouting her usual rubbish about getting another TSV for a friend who would be annoyed to have missed out on it. Who would do that? I could not afford to anyway. She would do well selling double glazing.

If Andrew's saying the wrinkles reappear as soon as you stop using the product, it implies that the cream doesn't make much of a difference to the condition of the skin. That's not a very good sales pitch.

I don't know about Gatineau's popularity but my guess is that customers are saturated with serums, creams, potions & the like.

Andrew shot himself in the foot with the Xmas TSV with outrageous claims about that serum thingy and how you would see overnight results or some such-like twaddle. A lot of people said the serum didn't do that and returned their TSVs for a refund as a result. He and AY completely overhyped the brand and products and I wonder if its backfired now with this TSV. Personally, I think Gatineau is overpriced and when I used it in the past, I didn't notice any significant results. None that justified buying any of the products individually at £60 for a pot of Melatogenine. I wonder if the TSV was offered on EZ Pay to encourage sales given the PR disaster from the last TSV. Anyway, I haven't bought Gatineau for about 2 years and couldn't be bothered to even watch the demo video on the website.

I agree. I have tried Gatineau TSV's in the past but was never impressed with anything except the floracil, and even that does not remove waterproof mascara but is amazing at removing any other eye makeup. What I dont understand is how they can harp on about the product costing such and such normally. I for one have never seen the prices being as high as claimed elsewhere, you cant find the brand in many places and my floracil large size is always cheaper on Feelunique with postage included! They try and say that because QVC charge a certain price for a product on its own then its a bargain in the TSV. No luv, you are overcharging on the first place. Not all brands on Q are guilty of this, you CAN get some genuine bargaing on brands like Liz Earle, l'occitaine, Bare Minerals and Elemis, especially in the TSV's. This is because there are other places you can buy it and there is genuine competition. Not with Gatineau. Hate to say it but same with Laura Geller, a brand I love. Its exclusivity to QVC in the UK can sadly mean (ebay aside) that Q can charge pretty much what they like and artificially inflate the price to make the TSV's look like a true bargain, when truth be told they are probably still way overpriced and QVC are making a huge profit.

I find Debbie Flint's hard sell too much to take too. If I bought my mum or friend the TSV, they would never have heard of the brand!

I used to love Gatineau way back many years ago now, possibly 10 or more!

At that time they introduced their Laser range which was in shocking pink packaging, if I recall correctly, that range was expensive even then!

It was fantastic though ; the day and night creams were a wonderful gel cream texture ,and , the product lasted for ages, unlike QVCs supplies of Laser :-(

Yes I used to use Gatineau and liked the Laser stuff. There was in place in Belfast you could buy it, in Castle Court which sold Mister Mascara, Aveda(they did facials so it was part salon too). Floracel unfortunately does not seem to remove my mascara and I do not use waterproof either. I have a 400ml bottle I keep in the fridge bought for I believe £13 or £14 not more than that. But I always end up have to use Elemis Radiance Cleanser over my lashes to get all the mascara off. I really liked their body lotion and body scrub, they came in 400mls sizes too. Then where discontinued and bought back at a much higher price in a 125ml tube size. The neck gel I also really liked and used quite happily until Andrew pointed out in his sales pitch, but you need to use a cream over it really its a serum. Their cleanser and toners always left a residue feel on my skin.

Salonskincare always seem to have some sort of offer on Gatineau money off or super sizes.

I have tried Gatineau and have never found it to be as good as they claim in fact their melotagine made my skin worse, did quite like the throat gel but not enough to keep paying for it. I don't buy my skin care fro QVC anymore I used to be an Elemis user and found that quite good but a few months I switched to a brand called Environ that is only available in a few salons in the UK and you can't buy it online it's wonderful stuff pigmentation marks are fading fast wrinkles are getting far less noticeable and my skin has never been so clear and in good condition, and the best thing of all- whilst it's not cheap it's still costs me a heck of a lot less than buying from QVC probably because I only buy what I need and don't end up with dozens of little tubes of stuff

I can just imagine her doing door to door sales and being impossible to get rid of.

I tried Gatineau and Melatogenine was too heavy and tacky whilst the new Age Benefit or whatever it's called made my pretty bombproof skin feel really dry. They were waffling about it having that effect in the short term but to persist with it. Well I persisted and it never got any better. I'd have to try and whack on a bit of moisturiser mid day over the top of my makeup. It didn't make my skin any worse or any better. It just felt a bit tight and dry. I used it all eventually but I won't buy it again.

I do, however, like the lip thing they do. And I like one of their gommages. The fruity one. So I'll probably buy those separately. I've given up buying kits.

I do like Gatineau and have bought a few TSV's,didn't buy the christmas one though because I had enough face stuff to get through.

I didn't see many shows yesterday but I find Andrew very compelling in his sell and was tempted at one stage, but for me there was not enough in it to justify the price.Okies.....the eye serum may be expensive ( I am lazy at using the specialist products for eyes and throat lol) but for me it needed to have a decent sized moisturiser in it and not a sample.......then I would have definitely bought!

I don't really believe half the stuff they claim but using their products makes my skin 'feel' nicer even if it doesn't make me look 10 years younger as some may claim!:cheeky:

I miss the Laser range too and I was only in my late 30s when I used it but because the textures were very light it really suited my skin. Whatever they brought out since has never compared so I bought from ebay for a while and then moved on. (If you see any laser on ebay now it'll be donkey's years old).

I still have a 400ml bottle of the blue body scrub though which I haven't used yet but which still smells ok, it was the best pre-fake tan scrub ever because it doesn't leave any residue on the skin like oil based exfoliators or the Philosophy glycerine based scrubs do, which can affect the even coverage of a fake tan. I also bought lots of small bottles of the blue scrub from Andrew's site last year really cheap and am working my way through them gradually. Don't understand why they reformulate such excellent products and produce something less effective! Well except to maximise profits ofcourse.

I have a love/hate relationship with Gatineau. While I do like the Firming Throat Gel, Activ eclat gommage, Melatogenine eye serum and kind of like Floracil, I actually detest the Melatogenine face cream - it's so thick and feels horrible to apply, I just don't get on with it, I go spot-tastic afterwards. And the Defilift stuff does not lift - although I don't know why I'm amazed that putting cream on your face doesn't actually give you a face lift- big surprise!!?? Oh and I forgot I do like the Defilift lip gunk which while it doesn't plump as they claim, is nicely moisturising and looks and feels good.

And the Age Benefit creams just sort of rubs/rolls off my face and I really HATE that feeling, when you have to go and cleanse again to get rid of the little balls! Having said that other creams sometimes do that on me as well, dare I say Elemis PCMC is a pain too.

This TSV was very good for me as I want to try the hand cream (although I suspect it won't do anything too fancy, it being just a hand cream after all) and I can do it for just over the price of the Throat gel with the huge eye serum included too, so for me it's good value even if I don't use the tiny tube of the dreaded Melatogenine included.

I've tried Gatineau in the past (I fell for the sales pitch when I first got Freeview) but found the Melatogenine far too heavy (despite my being in the recommended age bracket) and my skin looked like an oil slick.

I now wash my face in either the Decleor cleansing mousse or the moringa balm and no longer need to use a moisturiser as they do that job. Both also remove waterproof mascara, so I don't need the floracil. If my neck or face do need moisturising I use Judith Williams because it's a fraction of the price of Gatineau.

I ignore the heavy sales pitch now (I'm over the novelty of TV shopping) and stick with things that suit my skin. I'm also stubborn and if someone tells me to do something (i.e. jump to the phone) I'll do the exact opposite because I don't need frantic sales people telling me I can't live without something. I've managed all these years without their input and will continue to do so.

No cream, however expensive, will produce miracle results of a permanent nature. I believe that much of the rate of ageing is genetically predisposed (I think ) so I'd prefer to have the money in my purse, rather than in the coffers of a manufacturing company.

When AY did a Perricone hour a while back she said it was for people wanting to take a step up from Gatineau. This was after she had been on with Andrew saying the new elixir in the tsv at the time was way ahead of all other skincare she had ever seen before.

Frankly,I take everything they say with a huge pinch of salt. All the skin care brands are the same..same claims, same twaddle, same hard sell.
If all these skin creams worked then we would all aspire to have skin like Andrew, cos his is flawless of course!
Let him carry on with his hommage to gommage etc but I personally am not impressed or encouraged to buy.
I have posted on here before that my neice is a Dermatologist and she laughs at the claims these people make!!!!
