Did you see the performance at Christmas, that same guy sent in a big box with about 15 gifts in it and told her to open 2 or something each hour. He called it a challenge. And everything had a fox on it. I caught his name this time they call him the cat father. More like sad old man.
I didn't see that. But his 'name' does ring a bell. Perhaps, if he's made of money, he should send her some Bronte first editions. After all, her name is Emily, and it'd make a change from foxes. But seriously, OTT to say the least.

It's weird. There's no other explanation for it. I'm amazed that Gemporia even allow it.

One gift, sure - but a box full of stuff, and repeated at various times of the year, is not normal.

If it's a guy with a weird 'thing' for her, then who knows how it could potentially escalate.

Definitely weird. I'm amazed someone hasn't said anything if he sends all this stuff to the channel. And from what I can gather, from the snippets I've heard, he says she has to open these gifts actually on air so everyone knows what he's sent. I would be embarrassed.
I just don't get it, she's so false (only my opinion) anyway so probably likes to show people how much her customers think of her.

Emily loves the camera on her. Anything for a bit of attention.

I find this really odd and rather creepy. Cannot imagine how/why someone would buy, wrap and post this amount of gifts to someone on the telly who gets paid to sell stuff?

If her timekeeping is as bad as it is at starting each hour on time, luckily, she'll arrive 15 minutes late and they'll avoid each other.
Ah, now I know - I thought there was a technical problem the other day, as it was so late in starting, but this is obviously not a rare occurrence. Says a lot about her professionalism (not).

I was always of the impression that that 'dead air' / advert slot at the beginning of the hour was her / him setting up for the next hour. Then there was the time she'd 'run over to HM' (I think, if they still do, I've no idea), and 'advertise' GC there, at the beginning of the 8pm hour.

Yes, other presenters such as Alex, Nick, Lara, etc, used to take about 5 minutes to get the hour ready and have a drink, pop to the loo, etc.

However, with Emily, it can be over 15 minutes. Not just occasionally - but often.
