How many joblots of Emus have they got? And why?? There are warmer, cheaper alternatives out there that last longer because the sheepskin doesn't wear down and make the boot far too roomy inside so more cold air is circulating round your feet.

Strange time to sell a pair of boots; the high street sales will be down to final reductions and a good pair of boots is a great find after Christmas. Unless they're offering 50% off I can't see this being a huge seller. Mind you QVC has a loyal following out there that seems to buy regardless of DHS or other online deals.

I don't wear them, on principal. The guest insists the sheepskin has been obtained ethically. How can murder ever be ethical?

I wouldn't buy anymore emu boots, they are so big/clumsy...it has to be very cold before I wear mine, on the other hand I love the slipper booties...which they haven't done this year.

I just don't understand this obsession with a boot where the inside is initially warm and cozy but eventually wears down to create a wind tunnel round your feet AND where the sole is so inflexible that it just flaps around unless you curl your toes up AND (sorry, Simon - I understand where you're coming from) you have to take out a small loan to pay for all of this when other brands offer warmth and comfort and walkability cheaper AND (yes, there's more) makes your feet look huge.

Outlet shops are full of them all year round! - loads in Warrington for £35 - not my thing but my daughter has two pairs of Uggs and to me they look nowhere near the quality. I reckon QVC make a fortune selling these at extortionate prices.

Why can't they make flexible soles of Emu sheepskin boots? After all, that's what the Clarks lady keeps emphasising as a selling point and I know I need flexible shoes and boots. Just bought a pair of Clarks boots half price at amazon - last pair, luckily my size, and I know how comfortable they are because I already own a different colour. I don't think they make them any more but Q was selling them just a few weeks ago, so it shows they must buy ends of ranges cheap and make a huge profit.

emu sheepskin boots are not as good quality as uggs but these cost just as much if not more. uggs have sales

I have 2 pairs of sheepskin boots from Kiwi Sheepskins. Genuinely made in NZ not China and the soles on them are fantastic for icy footpaths. The ones I have are called the ultimate boots, heavy duty soles, they don`t go baggy around the heels or wear at the toes and the price includes delivery and taxes and they arrive within a week. I`ve had one pair for nearly 10 years and every Winter I brush them then spray them with a water repellent spray and they`re good to go for the whole Winter. I never wear socks with them and they fit perfectly. Their sizing tabs for each style of boot gives all measurements too and so there`s no trouble in getting the right fit.

£138!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You're paying for the trend and it's not actually a trend I like. You wouldn't have seen me dead in this kind of thing in my teens and twenties. My great aunt had something similar and they were strictly for old wifies lol. I do accept times have changed but these are not for me.

Peter Wright just got through in the darts by the way :mysmilie_8:

I really don't think the quality of Emu boots is very good. My toe went through my pair of Stinger Lo boots. I bought some Ugg slippers having read the shocking reviews of the Emu slippers + am thrilled with them. Then quality is unbelievably superior + it was money well spent. However every time Emus are on QVC I kick myself for falling for the hype + wasting a lot of money.

I don't like the style of the TSV. I had 2 pairs of Emus and I'm not impressed with the durability. They are OK for fashion ,but don't stand up to ordinary wear ie walking a lot
Out and about rather than driving .

How the presenters get them to last "years and years "I really don't know.

because they just bring them out in the shows and dont actually wear them much if at all
