I love my Dysn Animal but I've had it for many years now and the brush bar bristles have worn down and is rubbish at sweeping on low pile carpet. I went to buy a new one as I'm a strong advocate of replacing the parts rather than giving up on the appliance but was horrified to discover the only way I can do that with the Animal version is to replace the clutch, to replace the clutch means taking it to a specialist and I dread to think how much that would cost. It looks so complicated, it might need more than just replacing a few parts. This is disheartened me completey with Dyson, when I replace it I really might not buy another.
