Id rather have her read out twwets than Charlies read out womens measurments and talk about if it is good and not cling to tummies, Yuck! Get the designer in to talk about them and if she cant be bothered to show then flog somet else or give her the boot. Just save Charlie for Jewellery becasue Im uncomfortable with his reading out womens particulars! yes creepy as someone said. It is a bit really. Let Catherine give ou the measurments, she is a woman

I don't mind Charlie doing fashion because if we think about it, most designers are men and we have men fashion guests like Nina Leonard, Anthonny, Dennis Basso, the chap from Quakers , Simmonds and others, they not only talk about the clothes and measurements, they also handle the models. So I take it as part of his job.

yes but the creepy thing is Charlie is NOT a designer, so why put him to front all the bra and ladies clothing shows? Julian doesnt do them, what are we to read into the schedulers minds. Either way I find Charlie very uncomfortable viewing doing such shows, maybe my prejudices coming out but surely be better to have a woman reading out the measurments, unless your a designer or fashipon expert which Charlieisnt so why wheel him out for these womens shows?

Can you imagine Charlie getting away with speaking like Trinny / Susannah? "Now this really emphasises sharon's tits!!!" He would be chucked off air instantly! I am not a Charlie fan at all by any means. I find him smarmy and insincere, but if he is asked to present a ladies' fashion programme, surely he would have to read out the sizes and talk about the garments to some extent. I'm sure he isn't entirely comfortable flogging those frumpy nylon keks anyway!

No, Catherine is OK. Now Creepy and Jill Franks - that really is the gruesome twosome. I saw them present a show together once and I lasted about 5 minutes.

This twittering business is getting out of hand. Its OK when JR or Pipa are presenting shows. They only read out one or two tweets. Catherine and Debbie Flint are always at it. Not being a twit myself, I just don't see the attraction.

I too find him slightly worrying, yet wouldnt like too say more, as Im sure he is an ok guy and He strikes me as being a very good hubby and father too, so I try not to say I find him bit creepy, till I came here and others think it too.

CHARLIE IS WEIRD and when he touches womens clothes i imagine him prancing round in them in front of a mirror with a ken paves wig (that one with the Alice band) and a face full of mally.

I've seen Biagi present fashion (with guest) and it was ok, but Charlie just gets too much out of it. I'm with you on that mental image Burlz, in my head he;s also singing (shudder) "I feel pretty, I feel pretty and witty and... fey " :smirk: :song: :ninja:

Has anyone actually seen this Michelle he talks about? Is it just an "imaginary friend"?
