Coloured elastic through clear gemstones

I love the jewellery on Rocks TV but am finding it really difficult to like the light and clear coloured gemstones (rose quartz etc) that are linked with coloured elastic which is visible throught the gemstones. Surely transparent or translucent elastic would be much more aesthetically pleasing. Just a suggestion.

I agree coloured elastic does work with certain gemstones but not all!

It wouldn't be quite so bad if they were simply coloured, but neon? Nasty! The rose quartz on 2 or 3 strings of neon pink elastic, being the one that springs to mind. xxxxx
