So annoying especially as so often it is popular items they discontinue.


Not necessarily, it is often things that do sell that brands discontinue.

Yep, they discontinue products that sell too well because customers won't buy their alternatives - it means they can't diversify as much.

Gatineau used to sell a hero moisturiser called 'Laser.' It was a light lavender fluid in a plastic tube that did wonders for my skin. I've bought several kits from Gatineau over the years, but nothing I ever replaced it with was nearly as good - I'd rather use Elemis or some cheap Aldi stuff. They now sell a tiny bottle called 'Laser' which isn't the same thing and you can only get a week's worth of use from it. Not buying any more of their products now until they bring it back, because everything else they do is so disappointing by comparison.

I remember Laser and I did use it too. Stopped using Gatineau when they discontinued it, as their other ranges did not agree with my skin.

The brands of course insist the replacements are improved and better. Rubbish.

I too liked the Laser products.
I only now use the Tan Accelerator in this range, I use it is from March till October as a body lotion.

I'm sure they did sell though and the products certainly worked. I bought loads of that Decleor serum and it was always in TSVs. Maybe they weren't cost effective to produce.

I still miss the original Iris. I used to buy the oil and balm. Great for my skin.

Yes, I mentioned last month. The British Beauty Blogger had the info in her business news. Thought it is a weird fit. They won't have any staff standing around in white coats.

Good thing about that is there won’t be any hard sell which they tend to do - you go in for a lipstick and come out with £150 cleansing bundle.
