I'm 5' 4" and 53 years old and I always, always wear my dresses and skirts an inch or two above the knee, whether my tights are sheer or opaque. The longer length looks frumpy on me and my legs are my best feature, so I love showing them off!

My first thought too! And as far as gay being used instead of useless or rubbish, my sons used it constantly about 10 years ago, causing a great deal of confusion for me, but perhaps it's a Northern Ireland expression. Certain films/trainers/TV programmes/GCSE subjects etc would be deemed gay...

Thanks Flamenco. I hadn't thought of looking on eBay for that dress but I was able to pick one up for £16 (£46+ on QVC). I can't wait until it gets here.

That always got on my wick!! It shows him up as uneducated. I don't watch much QVC now, I depend on the (very honest) opinions expressed here and I use the website too. I don't get angry and my blood pressure stays normal!

My daughter and her friends all wear Primark skinny jeans and they are fab, nothing wrong with them at all! They also comein a great range of colours. My DG TSV hasn't arrived yet- now I'm waiting in fear and trepidation as I can see an expensive return looming.

I've taken the plunge and have gone for the indigo. My size 12 jeans are getting a bit loose so I've ordered the size 10s, purely because of thee stretch-factor! Here's hoping!!
