I like to look for unusual , often handmade stuff or something a bit quirky for people. The only people I spend above £20 on are my 2 grandchildren and my OH`s 5 grandchildren. For the others ( our 5 kids and their partners, 10 in total, all adults ) it`s a £20 limit per person. I found a lovely little website and its a retired gent who handmakes wooden bowls, tea light holders, pot pouri holders, lovely hand turned wooden pens etc at really good prices and everything I`ve had has been lovely. No 2 are ever the same.
OH`s daughter doesn`t spend anything on skincare and bodycare, she spends all her money on her 3 horses and really neglects herself so I actually buy her a large toiletry bag and fill it with skincare, shower gels, body lotions etc and yes some of them are items from tsv`s I`ve bought but she loves it. She says her bag of " treats " as she calls it is something she would never buy for herself. I buy quite a bit from Yves Rocher and with every order they send you a free gift so I always pop it into her bag. This year she`s got a mixture of Mally, Yves Rocher, SBC and other brands.
My late first hubby never bought me Christmas presents, he always gave me money but my second hubby actually disappears and buys me something. Love it or hate it, I always know plenty of thought has gone into it. Last year he bought me a Pandora bracelet so it wouldn`t take a genius to figure out that this year he`ll buy me charms for it. It`s something I never hankered for but now I`ve got one I`m quite happy to own it.
