Tooo long sleeves that will cover the palm. Too baggy cuffs that won't stay turned back, and will be stretched even baggier once they've been pushed up past the elbow. Much better if they were 3/4 sleeves. Otherwise rubbish.

Pointelle... even the name screams 1970's granny fashion.
I know 1970's fashion is still all the rage for the youngsters, but I feel they have exhausted the good stuff and moved on to the less good stuff now.
And don't get me started on the horrible pastel purple everywhere. It's not an easy colour to wear, never was, never will be.

No matter what they call it, pastel purple is a nasty colour.
My mother used to wear this style back in the 70s and we could never understand why she wanted to dress herself in skin-tight, lacy cardigans. They looked as bad on her then as this one does now but maybe someone will love them. She had it in lemon, pink and turquoise.
When I read this I wondered whether you meant lilac as I couldn't really picture what you meant. I've since watched the demo and now I do. Without meaning to sound disrespectful it's the sort of colour that screams nursing home day room! As somebody else said earlier, none of the models looked good in it - Ali Bailey just about got away with the red one over a white shirt and jeans, but then she is Ali Bailey. As for the rest, not helped by the bizarre styling eg, washed out 1980's floral skirt with the bright pink, stripey shirts, denim skirts - just awful! Most of the combinations looked as though the wearer had just grabbed a pile of clothes from the floor and thew them on in a random fashion. I'm surprised they didn't do the cardi in a heather grey as I'm sure it would've been the best of a bad bunch, or in black even as at least a black cardigan is a useful garment to have.

Some 70's stuff was fine. Wide leg trousers, flares. Some of the skin-tight tops.
There was way too much nylon, of course, but that can be course-corrected. But no youngsters were wearing pointelle unless it was thermals in winter... and most of us preferred to freeze as the pointelle was in granny's Damart catalogue!
Clogs were a thing... including Dr Scholls. I had some platform clogs I adored.
If Q are thinking they are marketing to today's grannies, they are foolish with pointelle. I'm not a granny, but I'm the age to be one and my lifelong aversion to pointelle is large and in charge. Thermals can be so much nicer nowadays and we dress how we choose...

Q are on trend with the colour. It is everywhere. M&S were awash with it when I was in there Saturday.

I wonder if they’ll pull it before the end of the day. It’s clearly proving sticky. Even the gorgeous Ally managed to look dowdy and that’s surely a first.
