I bought the collagen set they had this time last year and surprised myself how much I liked it. The skincare was good for the price so hope it’s another good set.

I've said it before but as much as I liked the SBC gels there is something in all of their body and hand washes that causes me to itch like crazy as soon as I've used it.
But now that Abbi Cleeve has got her hands on the brand I'll be giving the full range a wide berth anyway.

Be Prepared Mr M she has a men’s skincare range launching, whoever would have thought your skin was different 😲

You and me both MrMarple.

I used to like their Propolis collection especially and also the Arnica as well.

When one Mrs Cleeve took over I pulled up the drawbridge on it. Shame really because I think there are quite a lot of us who have done the same.

Does anyone know if Abi has changed the formulas since taking over SBC
I do hope not as I really like SBC especially the Collagen and Arnica ranges.

If she goes the way of other takeovers e,g. Ojon by EL and Decleor by L’Oréal, then yes she will. Change to cheaper ingredients but charge the same and ruin a good product.

I remember way back SBC and I did buy Arnica as it was for bruising and swelling. Yes, it did work as I went over on my ankle, and it went up twice its size I kept applying arnica gel and really worked. Now, SBC push it as moisturizing, no mention of bruising etc.
I’ve still got half a litre of the old arnica gel that called comforting relief. I use it when my back or legs are painful. I’m tempted by the litre bottle QVC have on offer but not sure if it’s the same formula. Looked on the SBC website and I think the Arnica and Wintergreen looks more like what I need.

I don't think they're allowed to mention things like bruising on air as that would imply it's some kind of medical treatment that's been tested and proven to deliver a benefit. If it hasn't, they can only sell it as a cosmetic product. In the same way they can't say pain relief, but Adele (who I think is great btw) uses code words like "easing that tension and stress," and the presenter will maybe suggest reading reviews on the website as there are things they can't say on air.

I like the arnica gel, for me it doesn't kill pain, but it definitely takes it down a notch. And if I bump my knee on something and put the arnica on straight afterwards, I don't get a bruise.

I noticed in the recent Tili offer that there are three Cleeve products, the SBC, Skinsense and Ultrasun!

I didn’t buy it because I don’t need those small sizes, however, I also think it is getting to the point of desperation for Cleeve to push her products in whatever way she can.

Every Tili offering of recent times has a Skinsense in it. I don’t need to write here what I think of ‘Lamellar’ Skinsense because you already know!

It’s just proving how utterly ruthless she is in wanting to have her products out there. I am of my own personal opinion that Skinsense is a hugely inferior product. Ultrasun, is under a form of a legal licence/sole supplier for her to flog it in the UK market and SBC she bought; but I suspect that will suffer so she can max out profits. Bit like asset stripping when these Private Equity companies hover over distressed firms. Think Cath Kidson, Morrisons, Laura Ashley, Arcadia Group and Debenhams to name a few in recent years!

Either way, my own stance is that I will have nothing - and I mean nothing - to do with any product that she is involved with. Giving money to her is like doing a deal with the Devil and we all know how that ends!!

I’m very dubious buying SBC products now that Abi Cleveland owns the company. I find her most obnoxious and have never bought Uktrasun or Skinsense because of her attitude and selling methods. Such a shame she bought out SBC.

I’m going to have a look around to see if I can get a different brand.

It’s interesting because I was half expecting a huge ‘blow-out’ of Ultrasun and Abi Cleeve ion at every turn on QVC over this summer.

Although there has been the shows, it is nowhere in comparison to the last couple of years when it felt like it was been rammed in our faces.

Whether QVC is waning in their approach towards Cleeve is a moot point, but what I have seen is you can buy Ultrasun from Look Fantastic (The Hut Group) and also on Amazon as well as her own website.

I had a check around from Editor’s picks on sun lotion/creams and it’s ironic really that Ultrasun is hardly mentioned. Lots of others La Roche Posay (what I buy) along with a myriad of others, but only one single mention in the Guardian of Ultrasun out of a number of other recommendations.

In other published articles freely available it does not get a single mention.

I really do not think this Ultrasun is all it’s cracked up to be if I am brutally honest! These Editors of national newspapers/magazines have their absolute pick of all products across the market. If Ultrasun gets only one single mention over numerous published articles that is enough to tell me it’s just passable at best.

Always said when it comes to Cleeve it’s the Emperors New Clothes….

I suppose in one way I’m lucky with sunscreen as I rarely sit out in the sun as I suffer badly in the heat. If I’m sitting in the garden when it’s sunny but not hot I use P20.

I also noticed Ultrasun rarely gets included as anyone’s top products.
