The type of footwear can instantly kill a look. Happens all the time now. A lovely floaty dress ruined by biker boots, and now Autumn approaches it'll get worse. Same in magazines, I often see a dress I like, but with flat Birkenstock type sandals and a model with a face like a slapped a..e, is a complete turn off.

Nowhere on the description of this dress are pockets mentioned and then I see the video, and yep it has pockets, so it's about time the text writers need to get their facts right.

It's an ok-ish dress if a little frumpy, well actually in some of the colours it looks very frumpy! The material close up looks far too hot to wear on a nice day I think you'd pass out tbh. There are so many lovely dresses to choose from elsewhere for far less money (and I'm talking about the TSV price here) so I don't know why anyone would rush to buy one of these. I would say you could probably buy yourself a light summer dress and a dress for the winter and still have your bus fare home if you went into town and had a look round!

I completely agree with you there, but I think that biker boots can look ok with a floaty dress as can Birkenstock sandals though I agree about the models sulky faces being a put off. One of my pet hates when it comes to footwear is balance eg someone wearing a long skirt and the shoes they've chosen make their feet look like paddles or flippers sticking out, or baggy trousers with stiletto heels so they look like they have needles sticking out from underneath them. Black sandals ruin a look for me too. I'm not averse to the trainers/dress combo either but fgs they do need to be fashion trainers (preferably white) definitely not sports trainers and definitely not bright pink or orange in colour!

Oh dear, it’s not good. I’m a regular White Stuff wearer but not this dress. Some of the colours are awful and the blue one looks like a faded pair of curtains.
There’s a great sale on the WS website just now with lovely dresses from £25.
I quite like the chartreuse multi and it must be one of the best things I've ever seen Jill in, but the bit on the bottom just looks odd. Not quite as odd as the blue one, but odd non the less so I don't think I'll bother.

M&S have some adverts on their website with a really skinny model in huge clumpy sandals and clothes that were much too big for her frame put me right off the clothes.

It wouldn't have looked too bad I've it had been the same colour. I always think when a frill is added at the bottom it is because they'd run out of material.
