I've just bought a fleece-lined, waterproof winter coat with hood on a Land's End sale for less than that. It's with Hermes right now. :)
I do like Landsend, buy far too much ( when everything is discounted) I have had one coat for years and it looks as good as new.You can be sure the keep you warm, not like some that look the part and don’t.I think it general they have had a revamp? Things look much more ‘fashion’ now not quite so ‘utility’.

I saw the trench coat last night. Model was wearing a camel coloured one. She looked like a sack of potatoes tied up in string. I was pleased to see Glenn pointed out the storm flap on the back. Really useful in the rain especially as the coat isn’t waterproofed🤔. He also said that trench coats don’t have to be doubled breasted.

My old trench coat is waterproof and double breasted. It also has a proper belt with a proper buckle. I think that it’s double breasted so you have less chance of the rain getting through.

I've ordered a longer length one for £62 with free p&p (are you listening, QVC?) It also has a drawstring waist if that's what you want. I ordered my first one about eight years ago and like yours, it looks as good as new but it's shorter so the longer one will have a good home. I only looked for one because the zip on mine started playing up, but Mr M being what he is, got a pair of pliers to it and fixed it, telling me I didn't need another one. I ordered anyway. :p:devilish:

I know it this might sound really stupid - but is it waterproof 'cause it doesn't say it is, it just implies it and I haven't got time to watch the demo. It implies that it is. If I was spending that amount especially its full price it would need to be waterproof!

Description says "water resistant" and Jilly also said the same.

I like Glen and initially had the programme on in the background but after half an hour I turned it off because I got bored with hearing that everything had a vibe. 🙄 It definitely didn’t vibe with me.

It has an Expensive For What It Is, vibe.
Can anybody on here enlighten me as to what a Vibe is please?

Same. I have two of their coats and some of their dresses. All bought in the sale a few years back. Still look amazing. Great quality.

I like Landsend too. I have a lovely winter coat for very cold days, and it keeps me so warm, and is a good long length too. Have some of their dresses as well, but not bought much recently. Must go and have another look.

Vibe:

noun

  1. A distinctive emotional quality or atmosphere that is sensed or experienced by someone.
"a nostalgic vibe to the decor; a stranger who gave off bad vibes."
  2. A distinctive emotional aura experienced instinctively.
"it gave me a nostalgic vibe"

verb

  1. To relax and enjoy oneself.

I’m not too sure how those definitions relate to clothes, by hey ho. It must be the latest “buzz” word.

He means "feel" but thinks "vibe" sounds trendier. It's a marketing ploy. I wouldn't try on a coat and say it's giving good vibes, I'd say it's got a good feel to it. You feel vibrations anyway.

Thank you. I didn't experience a distinctive emotional aura with that Centigrade raincoat.
