Oh it's Mason's watch, the dual tone Raidillon, it's the watch he said he was buying if it didn't sell out, which it didn't.

Rob, do your own research, you're being fed garbage about Duchamp being Swiss.

Oh price has gone up, £499 , was only £399 when Mason was after it, this is a creenshot the day after the show to show it wasn't sold out. ;)

Watching on Virgin and every 2 seconds the picture flickers. Unwatchable, well it usually is anyway, but this is actually unwatchable

Been flickering on and off when i've watched on Satellite, seems okay at the moment was worse earlier, as you say unwatchable.

Just as i've posted that flickering came back. :ROFLMAO:

At present it is harder to see the visual benefits at least of the new space? Most of what I have seen is along similar lines to the screen presentation in the old studio - table top sized goods shown with a presenter behind a desk. I did see Simons and his frog stools sat in what appeared to be waiting area for an interview as a Photo-Me booth operative or a budget funeral consultation…But essentially, with the style, size and low rent style of the majority of what they sell, a new, bigger area seems pointless at present. They showcased the new studio with the Baconne perfume. Three small tubes on a counter with a giant one presenting them. The extra showing space available hardly needed.

The only area i can see of benefit is the kitchen area, the rest just is too similar to the last studio but with a lick of paint, okay they have a catwalk, but apart from an extra excuse for self promoting fashion guru Dr Sally Jacks BSc MD PhD........... to strut her stuff, do they did they really need one, not like they're selling high end fashion. Don't think it's big enough for Peter V do his room size demo for ceramic radiators.

Other than the odd canoe, they hardly sell any bigger goods. Bigger goods generally cost more: bikes…fitness equipment…TVs..rattan and other furniture….quality vacuums..They just don’t seem to want to take this path. And they should know, I suppose. Despite the cheap and boring range of goods. the awful selling strategies, the questionable presentation style, they are still here nearly a year on…Others like Not Seen By Anybody TV and Shop Shut Extra have crashed and burned after a week and a few weeks. Clearly, selling low cost, bought in high volumes goods, and sold at big relative margins works for them with Ideal World Doppelgänger. And even if nothing is being sold at all, keeping it going regardless must make good business sense to the TJC owners, with the additional channels facilities and online access it brings them on the various media platforms out there in general.

As i said in another post, a lot of their products are supplied by the parent company VGL, so in effect you have VGL - wholesaling/manufacturing (India/Far East) → TJC/IW (+ German/US channels) - retailers, so VGL make money all the way through the system, so no real incentive to suddenly change to a different supply chain of brands/products, especially if as you say it seems to work for them in making money.

This is the thing, if it works for them ...

As I've bored you all with before, this is why I'd love to know the quantities they shift and the margins, the business side interests me.

We maybe poke fun, however they're likely the ones having the proverbial last laugh!

A £9.99 powerbank, say? They buy 10000 of them for maybe £2 a piece. Stick a £7.99 mark up on top, plus any profit on postage if they have negotiated a massive numbers of items sent deal with the courier. After running costs for the business, it could leave them still with a significant profit on the outlay?

They're too comfortable behind that desk. They need to start using the other parts of this new set otherwise it wasn't worth the 10 month wait. I enjoyed Rob walking around the studio last night, showing off different areas and actually using them. I even appreciated the jib cam views he had from high up.

They also need to ditch this TJC style of selling. They never used to have multiple item numbers for the different colour/sizes available. Before they just had one item number and you could state which variant or size you wanted over the phone.

Tat with Emma for four hours. The B Team is called upon. I'd love to watch her until 2 p.m. but unfortunately I have to go and clean out the septic tank.
I just had a quick look on the live feed. In her defence she didn't make me scream at the TV within 2 seconds so that's a plus. And she was selling small, cheap, handbags and didn't compare them to Mulberry in the few seconds I was watching.

It's the outrageous comparisons (although they say they are NOT making a direct comparison) that is my biggest bugbear. Just say its cheap and cheerful, won't break the bank, good for everyday use etc etc. Or if its toys for children say it's safe and should keep them amused (and quiet!) for a while.

Working for a QVC type outfit she could be a definite asset. Somewhere you have to watch what you say in terms of channel selling techniques. She is personable and articulate. But essentially all (maybe not Rob) of them are willingly embracing the hysterically OTT selling methods this channel wants them to employ.

Good to see resident fan expert, Peter van Bakkendghorne is here today. Soon to be resident human fan expert, when they start rounding up people from music venues, and selling them on slow days. The hot air expelling, cold air describing, upper lips smacking, thirst quenching, ace tasting, motivating, good buzzing, cool talking, high walking, fast livin, ever givin, cool fizzin…Emperor of the New Clothes.

It’s like selling a car with no electric windows, no windscreen wipers and no wing mirrors as a more desirable option because the windows don’t break down, the windscreen never gets scratched and there is less to be hit in an accident. The vacuum is much better than more expensive ones because there are less features on it to trouble you, and it sucks up less dirt to keep the inside cleaner.

Peter Volevent-Isles would be appropriate given the lame excuse for a demo being used for this gopping cheap vacuum cleaner.

I would question his description of a 'pile of dirt' looks more like some seeds to sprinkle on a continental breakfast.
