There's a QGossip announcement about the launch of Eyeko on QVC. I remember the brand being on Home Shopping Europe before it went bust, (I even bought a couple of things...they did combined p&p for everything ordered in a 24hour period...sigh!) but I have a feeling that Eyeko has also been on QVC before? Not a whole range but just an odd item, possibly the mascara in a tube. Anyone know for definite whether the range was on QVC years ago? Maybe Ideal World?

There was an scruffy shelf at the back of our Superdrug with a couple of Eyeko items but they've disappeared since the shop was refurbished. I wouldn't categorise it as a serious make up brand but no doubt AY will.

They used to sell eyeko in my local superdrug a while ago and they reduced it all to a £1, picked up a few lip balms, cheek tint, facial highlighter and tinted moisturiser. As yet not opened any of it but I can't resist a bargain lol!

It's sold on ASOS and is a smaller beauty brand. Their mascara is their most well known item I think, it comes in a tube with a unique wand. I haven't tried it but have heard good reviews. I got a fat eye stick in a beauty box a couple of months ago and it wasn't that great, it creased on me but some people loved it.

The mascaras have been on a few times. Curling, lengthening and volume of course the postage is £3.45 for one.
Plus the t shirts with SKINNY, CURL and FAT with AY saying the models don't want to wear the FAT top.

I've seen the mascara (and T shirts) recently but I wondered whether the brand had been on QVC 6+ years ago? Maybe I'm just thinking of HSE (remember Sarah Chapman was their resident beauty expert?).

It was definitely on QVC years ago cos I bought a few items, not full price but from Clearance.

I got the mascara (can't remember the name of it though) which was good & also a bottle of body shimmery lotion which was lovely.

Thanks Marzy, I thought I was losing the plot again!

So not exactly the "launch" , more a relaunch really.

Sounds like Shiseido. QVC had the brand disappeared within a year, then bang big announcements Shiseido at QVC a few years later. We got a few shows then bye bye and clearance once more.

I wonder whether the big names like Shiseido view this short-term selling thru QVC as a bit of a loss leader: a bit of publicity for the range to get a new demographic buying the range but they don't like the returns policy long-term and pull out before they lose too much. Smaller brands just can't stand the return losses however well the line sells.

The Genie lady told us at a NYNY event that this is the main factor deterring smaller beauty brands. For all their bleating about >50% returners it is the vendors NOT QVC who stand the loss of returned items.
