Yet another new layout on website!

Help Support ShoppingTelly:

Decided to write a review on a Radley bag, which is brill, by the way and to warn others not to buy one of the Lori Grenier organisers to put in it, because the dye has rubbed off on the lining of the bag and it looks dirty aargh:mysmilie_51:

Went to sign in and got HTTP 400 error, which since they've changed the website has become a regular occurrence :mysmilie_10:

I'm getting that, too.

The one thing I do like is the 2nd video as sometimes the main one is taken up with the presenters talking claptrap or even trailers so the item is seen just as the video runs out.

I'm on a Mac and have the new layout, but - far from playing automatically - the videos won't play at all for me. There's a big blank space where the product shots would normally be, and - when I click on the thumbnail of the video - nothing happens. Is anyone else having this issue? Sounds like they might be having a few teething problems. The only shows I actually make a point of recording / watching are the Lola Rose ones, all the rest of my shopping is done online, so it will be really frustrating if I can't view the videos. Especially as beauty is the main thing I buy, so it really helps to see the videos to get a better idea on colours for make-up etc. Felt the last lot of website changes made it look a bit cleaner, and fractionally less antiquated, but I'm not feeling these latest updates. They've made everything bigger, but - far from making things clearer - it actually seems to make the information harder to navigate. I appreciate that any business wants to upsell as much product as they can, but it would've been nice if they'd also given some consideration to the user experience. Oh well, at least I can watch them on the app for now.

I have just spent the last 40 minutes adding things i want to 'my basket' not going idle and updating, when i go to basket nothing is there, also one item abc wipes 'will be back in stock on 4/04/16 well excuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuse me we are now at the 14th, i went back to order the other items which had disappeared from 'my basket' , went through the process and guess what, same thing as happened to me last night - this new website and layout is rubbish, they may end up losing me as a customer, i've written to them, and find their responses patronizing and condescending, so if you are that way inclined try qvc for a job, you'll be bound to get it. The 'bad request' came came saying it was my browser - utter rubbish, so now i can't even be bothered ordering these items on q-cut or phone.

Just notice (on the Marla W OTO) that a reviewer has been badged as "top 500 contributor". Is this new?

Needless to say that review was 4* whereas the only other one was 1*. To be fair a lot their other reviews are 1, 2 & 3 *but they do seems to do a lot of Q&A.

I just did a Flash update, and the videos will now play for me on my Mac. Hope everyone else's issues get resolved soon.

Cynical hat on here: I'm wondering how they define a top 500 contributor... and if membership of a closed FB group is mandatory to be considered for this.:mysmilie_11:

well it sounds to me as if you are of similar views as myself, as there have been many times since I've been with them for 21 years that I have obviously over that period of time spent way too much money, that I've never been one of those you mention, or indeed, have never been sent products to trial at home hmmmmmm I think you and I are cynics, I know I am and I'm no pushover either, so who knows what the answer is, but I agree with you.

Update on top 500 contributor.

Looking at a Join top there are top 250 contributors (second rate!) but there are also top 1000 contributors!!!!

I am now going to keep an eye out to see how far it goes up to. Do you think it will be like a Fitbit in that it is to encourage customers to go that little bit further each day to get to 500 and then to 1000 and beyond.

Isn't it the other way round? If you are a Top 250 contributor, I would think that means you are in the top 250 of people who write frequent reviews, so being a Top 1000 contributor means you are only in the top 1000 (ie could be 999th).

With QVC, who knows?!

Well! I finally get the reviews - but only by switching to Internet Explorer. Nothing doing on Firefox. Anyone else not using IE having difficulty accessing reviews?

I can't say I'm surprised if QVC have only bothered to optimise their site for IE. A lot of laziness out there means many sites only work optimally in IE :mysmilie_10:
