Yankee Candle TSV 11/11/24

I think I heard Rosa say the total burn time was 380 hours. The old large jars burnt for around 140 hours each and the medium ones 90 hours, votives 8 hours. 476 hours.
Well I have been burning Yankee for years and don’t think I have ever managed 140 hours out of a large jar, etc. I think I get closer to 110/120. The 140 was the higher side of the range with I think 90 being the lower.

I am hoping that the new soy wax means less tunnelling, no residue round the side of the jar and a good throw in a shorter time. I think I have some soy ones in the stash from a (much earlier) TSV. Anyhoo, I got the Passport option and am looking forward to it. I regularly bought the TSV s when they did the seasonal auto delivery, but each to his/her own after all. It’s my money and I think they are good value compared to some. Although you see cheaper prices, when you look at the burn time it is often less than 40 hours.

I think people want the specialist wax and expensive scent and the strong throw but dont want to pay what it costs.
Yes, that's me. I want my candles to smell lovely, not burn out in 10 minutes and not cost upwards of £50. Hard to please I know!

I used to buy Village candles and the Goose Creek melts but the cost is now way above what I'm prepared to pay so I go for the supermarket cubes. Probably not environmentally friendly or good for me/Bry either but I'm way past the money I used to spend on Yankee candles. I now need it for other things (like holidays and running a car).

I now buy my candles almost exclusively from Rituals. You can get the odd bargain from them but they are expensive to start off with so not exactly cheap. The main difference is that the fragrances just smell like expensive hotels. Another level to the Christmas cookie and cinnamon whatever scents from America.

I like Yankees find them good vfm specially years ago. I also like Prices they are not as strong as other more expensive candles but they do have a nice scent overall.

Hello Folks....I'm probably going to sound ill informed - and possibly dim 🤣 - but I've received my floral collection today. Have no complaints, and looking forward to using in the spring, but I wasn't aware the new style votives weren't wrapped separately in that they only have a piece of cardboard over them. I usually store votives together in a box and wonder how the fragrance lasts when they are open to the air - I'm probably late to the party on this BUT what has thrown me is I thought the candles were coming from Yankee directly (although in fairness this was never stated to my knowledge- just "direct from the supplier") but inside the box the delivery note is from a company called Enesco Gift Shop. Looking online they sell loads of stuff including Yankee candle products. In the past the products have come direct from Yankee with various leaflets about use, allergies, burn time etc but not these ....the candles were very well packed and came quickly - just not direct from Yankee it seems - I dont suppose it's important but it surprised me as I wasnt aware 🤔

Thank yo
Wrap your votives in cling film should help keep them fresh.

Perhaps, Enesco is the distributors for Yankee in the UK?
Thank you Donna, of course that would do it! You probably have a point about distributors- this is the first time I've purchased Yankee from QVC since their "return" so shouldn't be surprised if procedures etc have changed .

Mine have just arrived - went for the passport to the holidays collection and I have to say that I am very pleased I went for these. The jars are currently freezing cold and on first sniff the scents are very nice. North pole was the one I was probably dreading as I presumed after Rosa saying peppermint it would be awful but they are beautiful. North pole isn't minty at all.

Very sophisticated scents and strong upon sniffing the lids even though the jars are icy cold

I put melts in the airing cupboard. I stopped using candles years ago as the smell of paraffin overpowered any scent. I did post it on the QVC Facebook page and was told it wasn't paraffin wax. That started an arguement with people saying try were paraffin as they could smell it.
