The poor girl rarely looks nice in anything they shove her out in. She had the sleeves pushed up to the elbows, which suggests they would have reached her knees otherwise, and whats with only 3 colours ? 2 of which were similar. Not very imaginative. At least there was more choice in the last tsv.

Claire always looks like a stuffed sausage. I don't know why they can't put her in the right size when the ranges go uo to plus sizes.

10 ouf of 10 for Claire's resilience, she comes out and smiles gamely on. Its one thing being a plus size model in magazines and catalogues that have limited audience, but its quite another to parade yourself in front of millions on the tele.

Looks like something you’d find in Bon Marche for £13.50.

I noticed when I was a large size (a few sizes smaller now) that as sizes go up, so does the length of the garment, as if the designers think larger women are automatically taller.

What especially annoyed me was the length of the body. The number of times I’d try on a size which should have fitted, only to find it too tight round the hips. Same problem on even larger sizes. I then realised that because the ‘bodice’ of the garment was longer, the wider area across the hips actually was around my mid-thigh.

Ditto with the sleeves.

I had a very rare trip into our local town on Tuesday and popped into Tesco as hubby had a dental appointment.
Some of the dresses were dreadful they looked like something hippies wore in the 1970's.
I was in my really 20's at the beginning of 1971 and hated the look then. I ended up wearing a lot of denim skirts and jeans. I worked in a bank so black and navy skirts plus white or cream blouses were workwear for me.

a huge bugbear of mine.

Um, in the 60's and into the 70's I wore a lot of the 'proper' cheesecloth for socialising - usually at festivals.
