What's happened to Gemporia

Does anyone know if unheated citrine is as rare as Adina was making out. Must admit I don’t know. I’m always inclined to think they are exaggerating. As it was only 199 it seems unlikely.
No. Citrine is readily available from many mines and is far from rare.

Heated material is more common (heated Citrine started out as Amethyst - the heat changes the purple to orange/yellow) - but there is plenty of untreated material on the market.

Gemporia are obsessed with the terms 'rare' and 'breaking news'.

Both of which are usually nonsense.

Thanks for that. Im embarrassed to say they might have got me with a stone I know nothing about if it wasn’t for this forum. The hype was unbelievable. Rightly so as it turns out.

Oh dear, nothing ever changes. Adina on with “ The Original” tanzanite and how ultra rare it is and how lucky we are etc… This in between bullet pointing every word and scratching her nose. She keeps saying “ the Original” lol and Literally.Still a heated for colour gem.
Is that the one she said has been in storage for 10 years? I channel hop and caught that bit.

They've been saying tanzanite was becoming rarer ever since Adam was a young lad scrumping apples in the Garden of Eden, but they've still managed to flog container ships full of the stuff for the past 15 years or more, not to mention other TV channels (TJC) flogging it too. How the heck can it be rare?

Experts predict there is around 40 years worth of mining left! That's how 'rare' it is
