I remember Tanzanite being ultra rare and almost depleted when I first started watching, 14 years ago.........
Does anyone know if unheated citrine is as rare as Adina was making out. Must admit I don’t know. I’m always inclined to think they are exaggerating. As it was only 199 it seems unlikely.I remember Tanzanite being ultra rare and almost depleted when I first started watching, 14 years ago.........
No. Citrine is readily available from many mines and is far from rare.Does anyone know if unheated citrine is as rare as Adina was making out. Must admit I don’t know. I’m always inclined to think they are exaggerating. As it was only 199 it seems unlikely.
Thanks for that. Im embarrassed to say they might have got me with a stone I know nothing about if it wasn’t for this forum. The hype was unbelievable. Rightly so as it turns out.No. Citrine is readily available from many mines and is far from rare.
Heated material is more common (heated Citrine started out as Amethyst - the heat changes the purple to orange/yellow) - but there is plenty of untreated material on the market.
Gemporia are obsessed with the terms 'rare' and 'breaking news'.
Both of which are usually nonsense.
