I did think OMG too - the worst bit being the bare ankles. But on the point of trainers - my 17 year old son wore a full dinner suit to his school prom last year with bright white trainers - IT IS TRENDY!!!!

We are getting older and must remember that!
 
It might be trendy and no doubt my 22 year old son would look pretty cool dressed like that. but on a man his age it just looked ridiculous and like he was trying too hard.
He's just too old to successfully carry off that look.

Times might well have changed, but I believe that women, of whatever age, if they are dressed up to the nines, certainly dont want to dance with a bloke in a tux and trainers - whatever colour they might be !

Imagine George Clooney on the red carpet with white trainers ? I dont think so.

Young girls like fashionable blokes not men dressed like their dad! Also have you seen the way the young girls 'dress up' these days it is not always as us oldies would have done.
