I bought a pack of two in Boots a couple of years back. Can't remember how much I paid, but they were on offer in a sale, so cheap.

I'm still using them and they machine wash really well.

I bought two from Temu a while ago. 85p each. One for use, one in the wash. They’re brilliant, wash well and really do a great job. Therefore I don’t need four more expensive ones because I only use one at a time.

I’ve had mixed results with various hair towels and would personally not buy anything but a better known brand, even though one I was given as a gift in a fancy box went discoloured and smelly and I couldn’t get rid of the pong. I know it’s luck of the draw and you can get or be sent a decent product for a pound or two but I won’t risk it any more. I bought two on Amazon a few years ago (not pennies but around a fiver, I think) and one was about big enough for my niece’s doll, the other went in the bin when after 3 uses the edge binding came undone. Also a pair I got in Lidl looked decent quality but didn’t seem to like absorbing water so my hair was as wet half an hour later. Kind of not the idea!
